You know what? Good.
Let them push Reigns as the man the people want. That's how they ruin people. They don't know how to present a man the people want. They take the superstars that the crowd get behind and they strip them of their qualities. They replace them with "Default top face 1.0" and within weeks the superstar is telling jokes, bullying fat girls and overcoming the odds.
If it means we get to keep Ambrose the way he is then let him get overlooked. Let him float around the upper midcard/main event scene like a psycho Kurt Angle and just have fun. Not everyone has to be the top guy. They'll make more money by letting Bryan/Cesaro/Ambrose/Zayn/Rollins etc just tear the house down and be themselves than they ever will putting them in love triangle soap operas.

I can see them not necessarily wanting to put the title on him, because there's lots of juice in the build to that and he's got plenty to do. I'm totally fine keeping him away from the title picture and having him in a prominent spot.
But thinking he's "not ready" is different.

In that anyone with a shred of common sense sees that the guy is poised to usurp the spot reserved for the company's hand-chosen pet project by Mania? Definitely. I don't buy the "They don't trust Ambrose" story. Is that why they put him over Rollins something fierce? Is that why they let him cut promos? is that why they've given him main event spots on Raw? They might prefer Reigns, but their confidence in Ambrose is definite. Well, as definite as WWE's confidence in a wrestler can be.

If you mean "not ready" as in "doesn't have what it takes at all", I doubt that's the thought process. I agree with WWE here, Dean's nowhere near the "in danger of burning out unless they give him the title right away" level of overness that Bryan eventually reached. And TBH, I'd say it's more up to Ambrose to keep up his performance level than it is for Creative to make him at this point. If he can get his reactions even louder in the next few months, then go ahead and let him main event.

They said he's not ready yet, and he's not. That's why you push him and then he eventually becomes a main eventer.

Once the Rollins/Ambrose program is over, I'll be shocked if he hasn't cemented himself as a potential main event player. Honestly he's different enough from all the past top stars out there that he could probably be huge if they booked him correctly. How huge exactly, I'm not sure, but they've got definitely got something with the guy. And considering how they wanted to initially debut him by having him feud with Mick Foley, that definitely says alot about how they felt about him before he even debuted.
Still, even if he doesn't make it that far, he's no doubt gonna be slotted at least as a guy in the upper card for a long while.

The documentary on the Network let it be known they believe in all 3 guys to be main eventers. They also got footage from ROH, CZW, and Dragon Gate for it. They're not doing that for guys they don't believe in, they're not doing that for guys they don't see as a new version of Rock, Austin, and Foley.

Maybe we should wait longer than a couple of months and Dean has more than 1 main event program to judge.

First, what the hell is the Wrestling News Observer? Did the newzsite this is from screw up the Wrestling Observer or is there some site trying to trick people into thinking they're Meltzer?
Anyway, Dean isn't ready. Neither is Roman. Neither is any face in WWE not named John Cena. That is what these next 7 or 8 months are about, finding out who is. Roman is the favorite but there is no guarantee he makes it and I know these words are not viewed in a positive light around here but this is a wait and see moment.

I didn't correctly copy it from the site so I was editing it in quickly, I'm changing it now. Thanks for the notice.

I haven't seen it (I don't have the Network) but that's great news. I mean, it's always been sort of obvious that they like all three, but when they commit the time and resources going the extra mile to show how much they not only like them, but how much they've invested in Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose, that's still great to hear. And yes. Those three CAN be a new main event triumvirate. And if WWE keeps pushing them the way they have, they will be.

Wasn't trying to be too much of a smart ass, just seen so many sites claim so many things are from one the better sites that aren't I've started picking up on things like that.

Rollins at the end says "Let's see who can get to the top fastest". I just knew they had faith in these guys, and this kinda proves it to me.

"officials do not see him as being ready for a main event spot yet"
What the hell does that even mean? Does that mean he wasn't ready at time the piece had been written? Or is it meant to insinuate that there is projection for when he'll reach "optimal level"? If so, when is that date? Night of Champions? Hell in a Cell? Survivor Series? Royal Rumble? Elimination Chamber? Wrestlemania? The next episode of the JBL & Cole Show? Oh, wait, it looks like the original author doesn't know...well, I guess it's high time I quit worrying about some unrealized existence.
Meh; call me when the story isn't so ambiguous that it essentially renders the entire piece worthless.

I can't even process the thought of a new Daniel Bryan right now. That would be like asking if someone was the new Stone Cold in August of 1998.
