Is "Happy" still getting airplay? This is perhaps the one recent pop song that doesn't annoy me, but I actually somewhat like Pharrel's voice, and since its not overexposed to me, I'm pretty indifferent to it. He does need a post-grunge follow up for it named Angry though. I don't really like Happy, and this is coming from someone who has pretty much marked for Pharrell/The Neptunes' work since adolescence.

I haven't heard Rude but to add on my list, Iggy Azalea is the f***ing heinous.

For the longest time I would say rude by magic. But I'm really hate that WARRRRRRRRRRRR COME WITH ME NOW song. f*** that noise with dynamite As overplayed as War is (f***ing everyone is using it for everything) Rude just fails on every possible level. It's great if you hear the chorus as about marrying Mariel Hemingway.

Pretty sure the most annoying song on the radio, for the 15th straight August, has to be "Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas. It's the mythical demon that returns every summer.

The song you're refering to is Come With Me Now by Kongos, and he's saying WWOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH come with me now.

I still like Rude by Magic. So do i, but i have to admit its overplayed. Ironically, i first heard it from Todd in the Shadow's NEGATIVE review of the song.

But the winners are Rude by MAGIC! and Nicki Minaj's Anaconda. It's bad enough that you rip off Baby Got Back, but the song makes butts so unsexy that it would make Sir Mix A Lot a breast man.

heh I only ever heard it as War... but still everyone uses it for everything and they need to stop yesterday. I'm starting to feel the same about "Jungle" by Jamie N Commons, tbh. It was used for the Hercules trailer, and WWE used it for the Battleground PPV and WWEShop. I wouldn't have paid it any mind if it hadn't been for all three coming on back to back to back one night.

You know what, I had NO IDEA "Rude" was a main stream popular song around the rest of the World.
I live in Hawaii, so for the longest time I thought it was a song from a local band, because almost ALL of the modern Hawaii bands are done in the same exact style. If you're from here you know exactly what I'm talking about. Can any other Hawaii citizens vouch for me on that?
Also to answer this thread question, I guess it's just any song that get's tired and overplayed for a while, so I guess I'll go with "Happy" by Pharell.

Thank you! That Rude song is straight garbage. I cannot stand any part of it, and I also have to flip the station as soon as I hear it.

What is that song, "I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man"? That's actually called "The Man", by Aloe Blacc. Also, in regards to Iggy Azalea, I find that the only memorable parts of her songs usually don't involve her. I don't know if that says more about her being boring, or that Charli XCX and Rita Ora are good.
