You know how hbk is pretty much one of the only guys to stay retired?
I'd make HHHs new gimmick be that he retires at pretty much every major ppv before coming back 3 months later. And every time he makes it out to be the biggest match of his career "seriously guys, for real this time"

Wrestlemania Main Event: Triple H vs Broomstick.
Hunter goes out on a five-star classic.

He should retire like Piper retired in 1987 in Foley in 2000, sticking to his word and never wrestling again.

He calls out any member of the roster to answer a challenge for one final match, a Hell in a Cell at Wrestlemania. Big Show answers and destroys him for 30 minutes showing HHH has really lost it in the ring and a true monster will defeat him and look dominant for the wrest of the year.

Stephanie: "Lick my butt, Hunter." Triple H: "Okay - AHH. I'm going to haul-ass to Lollapalooza."
*Rides off into the sunset, never to be seen on WWE TV again.*

During a dinner with 12 of his friends, televised live on Raw because why not, he announces that one of these friends will betray him. Yes, I'm doing a Jesus analogy. Quit it and just let me finish. One of them does, in rehiring Kurt Angle. HHH is enraged and pedigrees the man into oblivion. And then he pedigrees his other 11 friends for good measure, because why not. Stephanie and their daughters, who were weeping at the base of a cross because they thought that's where this analogy was going, suddenly jump up and start cheering because it's SO not. Then HHHe raises his arms up and angels lift him on high to Heaven, and as Motorhead's King of Kings eminates from the very Earth HHHe pedigrees Jesus Christ and God Almighty and takes HHHis rightful place on the throne of the All-Knowing All-Powerful. ..........and then this guy shows up: {Spoiler} And if you get the reference then you know it ends well.

He gains a final victory over his most-hated foe ('Taker, Brock, Cena?) but suffers severe wounds. Unicron rebuilds him into Galva H... who of course is more powerful and insane. Galva H rules WWE until some new Hot Shot wrests the Matrix away and sends him flying out of Unicron's eye.

Do the favors for Reigns or Ambrose, since Foley put him over like a God.

I'd have Rollins retire him at Wrestlemania.
After losing his MITB match at Royal Rumble, Rollins is berated by Triple H as not being the star he though he was. He is told he is going to have to start from the bottom and given some tough love by being put in handicap matches. Rollins starts to get some pops but still behaves like a badass heel. He loses all the handicap matches (2 on 1s, 3 on 1s) but holds it together, trying to impress Triple H and get him on his good side. Hunter mercilessly continues cutting promos on him burying him beyond belief.
Rollins, fed up, "quits" the company. The authority threaten to sue for breach of contract if Rollins doesn't come back and give him one week to make up his mind: honor his contract or a lawsuit. Rollins, dejected, shows up at Raw the next week and is forced to shake Hunter's hand and go back to work. As he turns his back to leave the ring, Triple H starts to mock him. The crowd, imploring Rollins to stand up for himself, leaves the ring.
Hunter and Stephanie let the people know they're taking the rest of the night off and Kane is in charge. As they're leaving, Rollins appears, shoves Stephanie down and then proceeds to give Triple H the beating of a lifetime. He's screaming and tearing at his hair and must be restrained by most of the locker room.
Hunter isn't seen again for two weeks because he had to be hospitalized. Stephanie calls out Rollins repeatedly and puts him in lopsided matches to receive beatings. Rollins cuts epic promos, worked shoot style, running down Triple H for being a cheap Flair imitation and that he was never as good as his opponents. He is saved by Ambrose and Reigns run in several times. Hunter comes back and books himself and Rollins in the Elimination Chamber.
In the chamber, Hunter and Rollins are the last to get out. The crowd is in rabid anticipation of Rollins and Hunter tearing each other apart. The beatings to each other are brutal and both are worse for wear.
Rollins loses the EC match when Kane and Triple H brutally double team him. The following Raw, Rollins comes out and cuts a fired up promo that threatening Triple H. Here come the authority. They run Rollins down again, saying he hasn't won in months and that he is a huge disappointment. They say they should've let him quit after the Rumble.
Rollins then cuts the promo of a lifetime. He pins the shortcomings of the company on the Authority. He calls out Kevin Dunn by name and said he better watch his back. He sounds them down for treating guys like crap. He insinuates that Steph and Jericho has something going on behind Hunter's back. And then he runs down Triple H as a father, saying that Hunter spends more time polishing his belts and playing with Vince's money than he does at home with his children. He tells them that with them as parents, their children would be better off as bastards because they're on their way to being whores.
That does it for Hunter and he rushes to the ring and both guys beat the hell out of each other. Hunter and the entire authority beat Rollins down. Hunter pedigrees Rollins and then gets on top of him, telling him that this is the end of the line. Rollins vs. Triple H, Wrestlemania, career vs career.
Rollins and Triple H tear the house down at WM. Rollins curbstomps Triple H through the announce table from the top turnbuckle, bloodying Triple H from the mouth and ending his run. Rollins becomes a made man.

Someone like a Cesaro or Ambrose or Bray faces him in a street fight or hell in the cell, the build up to it promoting HHH as the ass kicker, king of kings, destroyer of worlds, yadda yadda yadda like they usually do.
They have a bloody, violent contest. He throws everything he has at them, he pedigrees them not once, but twice.
Then they wreck his shit.
The end.
Yes, essentially I'd have HHH go out the way Foley went out against him to make everything come full circle. It would be the ideal ending for someone like his character. Not a heartfelt, touching, teary eyed swan song that gracefully allows him to waltz back up the aisle for the last time.
No, an ugly, unsettling in it's intimacy, little affair that makes him get carted out in a heap after the decades of crap he's pulled on others.
The Cerebral Assassin is assassinated, Mark. And, in other news Brock Lesnar is enjoying his twentieth year as WWE Overlord after unifying all WWE championships.

Chris Jericho puts him in the real Liontamer, kneeling on his neck while bending him in half and kayfabe cripples him. He can still walk and do everything normal, but WWE Medical Staff informs him that he can never wrestle again or he will be paralyzed forever.

Loses to Diego in 5 seconds to a small package. Tries to get the sympathy clap from the audience, but he just gets jeered from the crowd.

Triple H is mad at Brock Lesnar because Lesnar gave Vince McMahon the F5, injuring him. Triple H wants Lesnar at Mania. Paul Heyman gets to choose the stipulation. He says that if Hunter loses, he has to retire. Then Triple H wins at Mania because he is the 'Ass Kicker.' Lesnar wins the rematch, but this wasn't a retirement match.

Have him lose a few matches to Ambrose or Bryan or whoever. Then, he announces his retirement, claiming he's lost it. Then, we have a monster ransacking the WWE. He's new, but he's got the potential and power to dominate. He beats everyone, and then one day he assaults HHH. Trips is carted off, and in the hospital is told by everyone the injuries were career ending and he shouldn't try to be a hero any more. He's pissed, and sees this as an affront to his manhood. From there, it's a "the wrestler" angle. Triple H is trying to prove that, even if he's old and broken, he can still go the distance. He challenges monster to a match. Career on the line. The match is long, somewhat back and forth. Trips gets f***ed up. Bleeding, broken, but he just won't quit. It gets monster over as a badass killing machine, and gives HHH a badass last stand moment. After trips finally is pinned, he leaves the ring, embraces Steph and the kids, and leaves, Foley style. Everybody wins.

"Here's the thing...I need to prove myself, Steph, my faction lost to him and Ambrose, I lost to Daniel Bryan at 'Mania and couldn't stop him becoming champion, they're ALL proving me wrong. I need to prove myself against Reigns, if I can't beat an unrefined freight train then I need to step aside. I should be able to beat him, I'm the Cerebral Assassin."
Reigns beats Triple H in a short match, no weakness from Reigns who hits all his key spots despite Triple H doing his best to slip away, make Triple H seem aware that his lack of wise decisions in kayfabe and his lack of victories are showing him losing his touch as a pro-wrestler. No "thank YOU H!" chant stuff, just get him to lose the match and if he must remain on TV make people know he's just an authority figure and nothing more, you can keep him as a heel that way too, bring a Sheamus or a Ryback in as his muscle and to act for him in matches if he MUST be involved in stories.

With Taker possibly being retired, Sting vs HHH at Mania with the stipulation that loser retires. Sting decides to unleash vigilante justice on the Authority for being dicks. HHH has enough and they make the match leading HHH to be the last Cliq member to don a nWo shirt as he brings in the Outsiders to watch his back.
HHH ignores Hogan's warnings to not take Sting lightly as he did. HHH mocks him and says he'll show Hogan who the greatest nWo leader ever is when he runs Stinger out of the biz. Sting uses the bar to hit Nash in the knee and Hall in the hip before kicking the crap out of HHH.
