Ok....After watching MOST of the Marathon, I can actually admit something.....Even "Bad" Simpsons isn't all that bad, just a shift in tone and story structure. I think I'd rather watch "Bad" Simpsons over mediocre or bad Family Guy.

How long would it take to do a marathon of all the different couch gags?

I think I'd rather watch "Bad" Simpsons over mediocre or bad Family Guy. Even when Simpsons was bad it was still at least better than a good chunk of TV at the time. I do wish Mike Reiss would come back full-time, though. Al Jean is a solid showrunner, but that tandem was phenomenal, responsible for two of the best seasons of The Simpsons along with many of my favorite episodes, like Round Springfield, as well as the massively under-appreciated "The Critic."

I think I'd rather watch "Bad" Simpsons over mediocre or bad Family Guy. There are still good episodes, especially in the more considerably dry seasons. Hell, even the current stuff still gives you a surprisingly solid ep every now and then

I think I'd rather watch "Bad" Simpsons over mediocre or bad Family Guy. They still have all the great characters, that's a huge plus. The main shift I've noticed is how cruel they (the writers) are to those characters, and how everyone becomes a bit more of a blank slate for random pop culture references that clash with characterization and the entire feel of the show.

I think people who enjoy Lisa are much more likely to enjoy the later seasons. I'm watching off and on, but a good amount, and there's so much Lisa. Luckily, I really enjoy her character.

"To Stuckeys!"
One of the best lines ever on this show. So on point.

While I think it's really neat that this episode hinges on the idea of someone attempting to murder a person for real during Il Pagliacci (which is itself about someone trying to murder a person during the performance of a play)...I really hate Sideshow Bob's kid.
SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT VENDETTA!
