We've reported recently that Kurt Angle has expressed an interest in returning to WWE once his TNA contract is up in September.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now revealed that Angle has actually contacted Triple H and Vince McMahon to talk about returning. He apparently made a phone call to Triple H, who turned down the idea. Angle then made a call to Vince McMahon, but Vince told him that Triple H is now in charge of talent relations.
Angle calling Vince apparently annoyed Triple H who saw it has Angle trying to go over his head.

When he leaves TNA, the WWE will find some role for him because, like Flair, he's too much of a loose cannon to have out there with nothing to do and will embarrass the company even though he's not working for them. Guy will give interviews running down the company, or even wrestling and point out the toll it has taken on him, the state his body was in thanks to the WWE schedule and he'll kind of have a point... He's not a figure they want out there at a time they're having to compete with MMA to recruit talented young athletes.

I wouldn't blame Triple H at all. Angle is a f***ing trainwreck, and they don't need him dying on their watch.

He's not a figure they want out there at a time they're having to compete with MMA to recruit talented young athletes. He's been with TNA as long or longer than he was with WWE so blaming them for any physical problems would ring a little hollow, even with him having a reduced scheldue, plus all the developments in his personal life which can't have helped. Kurt Angle's a name sure, but so are Scott Hall and Jake Roberts, and barring the odd appearence they haven't been brought into the company and left to do their own thing. People who though talented and famous, have shown themselves to be loose cannons far to often to be brought in. I can't see Kurt giving them the level of trust they'd need, since he's a risk, they don't want a current WWE employee, for example, having another DUI, going on crazy twitter rants etc. Better to have him on the outskirts where he's someone who hasn't been associated with the company for many years.

I would love Brock Lesnar destroying everybody, until Angle's music hits at the Royal Rumble.
Oh, well.

Angle needs to do a really long stint in rehab and probably become a graduate of DDP Yoga before WWE will ever have him back.

Vince has long been of the belief that he does not want an Olympic champion dying on his watch, which is why he won't take Angle back. And then Angle supposedly pisses Trips off. Can't see many options for Angle, unless Global Force is actually a real promotion.

Yeah, I can see something like that happening.
Wouldn't be surprised to hear that this is all true.

Ya think Trips offered him anything? It seems weird that he'd flat out get denied although with his personal problems I totally understand. Even still though, Ric Flair is a pretty big embarrassment at this point and he's an ambassador. I'm sure there's more to the story.

I still want Angle vs Rusev, I don't care.
I mean we're at Mark Henry already who is "Worlds Strongest Man from America" the next rational step is "Olympic Gold Medalist from America"

Yeah, I can see something like that happening. Wouldn't be surprised to hear that this is all true. Oh it's true. It's damn true. But on Angle, I think they'd want him in a non-wrestling role, guy who can be an agent or a random backstage legend or something. But getting in the ring on any type of schedule? He's done.

Can someone explain to me how somebody under a TNA contract can just randomly call the guy who hires talent at WWE and ask for a job??
