I wouldn't blame Triple H at all. Angle is a f***ing trainwreck, and they don't need him dying on their watch. Are you in support of WWE having both Ric Flair and Scott Hall under contract? Isn't Scott Hall just under a legends one where he's mostly doing his own thing? And Ric Flair, he drinks, and is HORRIBLE with money, but I wouldn't put him in that same high risk category.

Angle's one of those guys who will go down in the ring Misawa style and WWE is well aware of it. Angle would work until somebody had to have a match with a bag of his ashes if he could make it happen.
Angle should just try to get in as a trainer or member of the announce team rather than try to do the Terry Funk thing.

Can someone explain to me how somebody under a TNA contract can just randomly call the guy who hires talent at WWE and ask for a job?? Same way I can apply for a job while working for my current employer. Wasn't WWE literally just avoiding TNA contracted talents because of that whole mole/TNA legal incident?

I truly don't believe any of this. Vince is willing to do business with anyone who can help make money. Angle is money. At the very least there's a legends deal, at most a return to the main roster with lots in between. Angle's coming back to WWE in some fashion. They let Flair back just to keep an eye on him.

I don't want Angle back. I loved Angle during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras, but don't want to see WWE give him the roll out the red carpet and f*** everyone else treatment. Plus I'm worried that WWE might feel compelled to do even more cuts with the justification of freeing up funds for Angle's contract. Angle's money, but he's not Rock/Brock money; yet WWE will still likely throw that much at him and take it out on someone else when he doesn't make Rock/Brock money.

When he leaves TNA, the WWE will find some role for him because, like Flair, he's too much of a loose cannon to have out there with nothing to do and will embarrass the company even though he's not working for them. Guy will give interviews running down the company, or even wrestling and point out the toll it has taken on him, the state his body was in thanks to the WWE schedule and he'll kind of have a point... He's not a figure they want out there at a time they're having to compete with MMA to recruit talented young athletes. Sorry I don't see any of that. WWE wanted to put him into rehab towards the end of his run there. He took it upon himself to refuse and bolt to another place where he could wrestle and do whatever it was he was doing. He spent more time in TNA then WWE as of right now. He can give all the interviews about his time in WWE he wants but that was how many years ago now? What's he going to do, run down the company that wanted him to get help but he refused. It's only when he got to the point where he was getting his mug shot taken more often then Lindsey Lohan for drunk driving that he sought help, and then who paid for it? Sure wasn't TNA, you know, his employer.

TNA withdrew that lawsuit last year. No settlement or anything they just withdrew it. From what I read they can refile if they want, but considering the guy that was in question (Flair) was been popping up on TV recently I think that's the last you will hear of it.

I feel like a lot of the stuff about Angle is really overblown from DA SHEETZ. I remember when he left WWE years ago, the word was that he was zonked out on every drug imaginable and that his body was in such bad shape he'd die if he got back in the ring.
It's been 8 years since then and granted, the drug stuff probably wasn't far off as he's had a couple of DUI's, but from all accounts it sounds like he's cleaned himself up, and while TNA might be a second-rate operation, I don't think they're going to trot a guy out there to wrestle who is on death's doorstep. I have no reason to believe their physical examinations or doctors are in any way incapable or incapable of seeing if a guy is a danger to himself and others.
With all that said, I would love to see Angle back, just to at least work one more match at WrestleMania.

I was and am a huge Kurt fan but I don't want him anywhere near WWE. His best days are long gone, he will have very little to contribute and every minute a former main eventer spends on WWE TV is a minute less for guys like Ambrose, Rollins, Cesaro, Ziggler, Wyatt etc who should be WWE's focus

Legends contract would be fine, being in some video games and getting a few action figures and doing stuff for the network.
Beyond that, I don't really want him. The guy collects DUIs like they're beanie babies.

If this report is true, I love how Vince washes his hand of Angle by saying HHH is in charge of talent relations, as if Vince were staying at home, making airplane models and taking Aurora to buy some ice cream...

WWE don't trust Kurt and I don't blame them. It took them over a decade for them to even acknowledge the existence of Jake Roberts and Scott Hall once more. And that was only because DDP is a miracle worker. It's going to take years of rehabbing his personal life before WWE calls him for a deal. By Angle's own account, he's been sober for only a couple of months. Man has a history of saying he is sober and getting arrested for drug and alcohol related charges. Yeah Flair is a f***up but if he dies, it won't bring of negative publicity that an Olympian would.

"Kurt has been in TNA longer than he was in TNA"
But outside of the few thousand who know of TNA, to the vast majority of people he's been doing nothing but tweeting and drunk driving since he left WWE.

Always makes me think of RVD getting pissed off because a lot of fans walked up to him when he was in TNA, I think maybe even during him being champion, and asked him why doesn't wrestle anymore.
