What do you all think? Could Wyatt work as a US, IC or Tag champ or would it seem like a step down?

It'd be weird. Like if the Undertaker had the IC title in the Mid 90s. Could work, though.

I almost think Wyatt winning ANY title would be strange. Not because he isn't super-talented, but it just doesn't fit the character. He doesn't seem like the type who would care about shiny belts, especially right now. He is a man with a deeper, higher purpose.
I say let the character continue on his current "righteous" path for a good long while, systematically destroying people 1 by 1, then have him go after a title, not to be the champion, but almost out of spite.

Anytime someone's done anything worthwhile those belts seem like a step down for them.

I get what your saying. It seems like getting a title out of spite is used a lot for motivation to get a title and fits perfectly with the Bray Wyatt character. I could see it happening and knowing WWE's tendency not to let things sit and ripen it would be sooner rather than later.

He's one of those cats that doesn't need a title to be over. He's the 2014 answer to Jake Roberts.

Jake didn't need a title to get over, but used correctly a title can add a new dimension to anyone's character. Used incorrectly they can drag people way down. For an example of the latter see how the midcard titles have been used for most of this year.

Belts are often meant to elevate the talent, but I imagine that Wyatt could be used in the reverse manner, but it would be a long term plan which is not always the WWE's strongest suit.
Imagine Wyatt having a title match with Ziggler on Raw where he wins the title but leaves the ring without the belt. The next TV appearance he has a new cult member (perhaps some NXT diva) carry the belt around instead of himself. His absolute disregard of the title he now represents can be a source of outrage towards Wyatt from people who previously held the belt. As a result, Wyatt is practically forced to be a fighting champion, regularly defending the title against the likes of Ziggler, Jericho, and Sheamus (perhaps the US title is not up for grabs or the match ends in some way that neither title changes hands).
Perhaps even the disregard can lead to a segment with HHH who gets mad that a title with such a glorified history, having been held by no fewer than a dozen Hall of Fame inductees and several eventual inductees (such as himself), is being disrespected by the likes of Wyatt. Wyatt's responds that he does not care about the IC title because he is looking for a much, much bigger prize (you don't even need to explain what that prize is). After that he finds himself booked to defend the title every TV taping in order to let someone who will give the title the respect it deserves win it in an appropriate fashion (which would be a little ironic coming from HHH considering how he won the European title from HBK), but to no avail. Wyatt either wins or successfully ducks out of matches as he eventually starts viewing it as a game to him.
Can you tell me that several months of this would not make a new guy winning the title a bigger deal than simply winning the title in a traditional manner?

If Wyatt were actually trying to convert people and gain followers, I'd love the idea of him using either the US or IC titles to lure potential challengers in so he can either brainwash them into following his cause, or weaken opposition to himself and the family.
Like the Intercontinental Title just being too tempting for one of the Usos to resist and him utilizing that title match to take him out and make things easier for Wyatt & Harper. Or perhaps him doing an open challenge towards someone like Sin Cara or R-Truth for the express purpose of converting them through his actions.
A title in an of itself might be of no interest to Wyatt, but as a means to end, there's potential there.

I honestly don't think he needs to hold any title. The IC/US Titles are beneath him. Why would he hold a Tag Title? He has Harper & Rowan who could hold them and even then, they'd only hold them for a short time. But to be honest, he sucks too much in-ring to hold the WWE World Title and his character wouldn't require him to hold it. Maybe give him a transitional reign where he plays mind games on a face chasing it but nothing long-term. Personally of the three family members, he's the weakest link.
