-Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 aren't even half as bad as their detractors make them out to be. not saying they don't have flaws but the hyperbole's a bit ridiculous. -unless it's from the very early days of dubbing I'd rather watch an english dub of an anime than a subtitled one. to quote the great Hayao Miyazaki, shows are meant to be watched, not read. -on the other hand I'll never watch a live action film dub because it always looks slipshod and ridiculous. can someone explain to me why anime dubbing's come so far in such a relatively short of time while live action film dubbing is no better than it was in the 60s? especially strange when you consider the dubbing for both is frequently done by the same companies. -slasher films aren't always mindless schlock and are actually better when treated seriously. -"it's a popcorn movie" isn't ever a valid excuse for something being terrible. -'"direct-to-dvd" isn't a very good indicator of quality.

I always enjoy these threads. They're always therapeutic. Anyway, here's my list. I'm sorry for my awful opinions: - I think Brock Lesnar is overrated and was never that good. He's big, he's strong, he has the IQ of a small-mouthed bass, and he has really stupid tattoos. That's Brock Lesnar in a nutshell. - I really hate Chris Hardwick. Wil Wheaton too. I think they took 'nerd culture' and made into this awful, trendy, bastardized thing we have today.
- Speaking of Chris Hardwick, Walking Dead hasn't been good since season 1. Piss poor acting and boring as watching paint dry.- I've said it before and I'll say it again: Doctor Who is f***ing awful. - Howard the Duck (Yes, THAT Howard the Duck movie) is a fun movie. - Thomas Jane was perfect as Frank Castle and his Punisher movie was pretty damn good. Agree 100% with the bolded parts! Also, the whole 'geek girl' thing is annoying, especially those girls who post risque photos of themselves online claiming, "LOL...I'm just a nerd!". No you're not. You're a whore who found glasses. I'm sorry, but no. We're not going into that territory. You know better than to post stuff like that here.

Using the phrases "I call it as I see it" and "I'm just being honest" does not give you free reign to act like a complete jackass. .

Not sure how unpopular it is, but "Chinese Democracy" is a damn good album. Some of my favorite songs are on that thing.

The Walking dead is boring and only season one was good
Zombies everywhere are f***ing annoying
You don't need FOX or CNN to get news there are better unbiased outlets to get your news from online rather than TV.
Society needs to stop being overly sensitive to issues of any kind.
Chris Benoit disdain is annoying. He did nothing to you personally. It was only towards his family and friends that should feel effected.
People need to learn when to let go of nostalgia. Move on already.

The fear of faux "geek girls" to me is because nerdy dudes are secretly terrified that they will become socially ostracized in their own world, too. Like, hot girls who like comics, will STILL go for the same alpha-brained meatballs as before, while simultaneously adding level of social shallowness to their genre that will STILL leave said dudes perpetually unlaid and wall-flowers in their own bubbles. I get it. But I don't believe it, honestly. Girls are awesome, and I welcome them with open arms and open pants into anything I love and follow.

The Simpsons sucks, Futurama sucks, We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank is the best Modest Mouse album.

The fear comes from the fact that they don't want to admit that not having a girlfriend is their own damn fault. More girls would technically increase their mating chances. Fake geeks invading is unlikely since such people would stick out so much.

If I had to hazard a guess, it'd be because animated talking doesn't have to, nor does it usually, show the entire movement of the mouth. Mouth animation is often just varying stages of opening and maybe a pursed lip if someone is whispering. But if someone is really speaking one language on camera, you'll never be able to get them to look like they're saying a different sentence.

I love this board and have been here for years but I hate it when it gets so goddamn cliquish with the repeated "who are your favorite posters" or "who are your best board friend" posts. It's such a blatant circle jerk and strikes me as really faddish, like the digital equivalent of obnoxious PDA.
I don't care for the idea of constantly telling everyone who you would f***. It happens so much on this board -- "I'd hit it" or "I would" in threads generally unrelated to talking about looks. These come out of nowhere. What is interesting about saying you would f*** AJ Lee or Trish or Daniel Bryan or whoever? Everyone would f*** a lot of people if given the chance. This whole "hit it" thing makes people sound way choosier than I imagine they are. It's not even a funny comment like DAT ASS or that Booker T quote about the biscuit is. What's the point?

I think you can still show disdain towards a murderer even if they didn't have a direct impact on your life.
The Yorkshire Ripper didn't kill anyone I know, but he's still a piece of shit.

I now want to see someone use a move called the Yorkshire Suplex... If I suggest this to someone at the next independent show I go to and it happens let it be on your head!

The only 2 genres of Video Games I will play now a day's are Racing games (Forza, Gran Turismo etc) and Fighting Games (Street Fighter, Killer Instinct)
Outside of these 2 genres, modern day Video Games don't interest me in the slightest.

Most of the favorite posters are guys who stand out by being a "gimmick poster" or having some very distinguishable traits. Like I'm one of those "I would f*** Daniel Bryan" guys; some think its annoying, others think its funny. I'm sure someone considers you their favorite because of your "Give me questions to interview this wrestler" threads, even if they haven't posted it.

Groups of friends have happened on the forum for forever, like the Thread Pirates way back, and that's totally fine, but I can see where it can turn obnoxious rather easily. I don't like favorite posters threads, or funniest ones, generally speaking, because I know I'm going to forget people, and that some of the best stuff on the forum has come from people who don't have the biggest post counts or the most eye-catching name and avatar. That kind of sucks.

Oscars, Tonys, Emmys, whatever awards out there, it seems like a long and dull night of people people kissing each other's butts than any kind of real awarding of excellence.
