I'm sorry, but no. We're not going into that territory. You know better than to post stuff like that here. Followed by... Plus, having a girl that actually shares your interests (no matter what those are) rather than just 'tolerating' em? There's no downside there. FNAR FNAR! On topic, I honestly don't care about award shows. Oscars, Tonys, Emmys, whatever awards out there, it seems like a long and dull night of people people kissing each other's butts than any kind of real awarding of excellence. I think it was more about calling them whores than anything else. Not sure how unpopular it is, but "Chinese Democracy" is a damn good album. Some of my favorite songs are on that thing. I agree. I really like that album. Also, the mixing job on that album is phenomenal. That record has about 10000 overdubs on every song, and you can hear what every single instrument is doing. That is nothing short of remarkable.

The only 2 genres of Video Games I will play now a day's are Racing games (Forza, Gran Turismo etc) and Fighting Games (Street Fighter, Killer Instinct) Outside of these 2 genres, modern day Video Games don't interest me in the slightest. It's why I prefer games from older gen consoles (PS2 being the newest of). Most still entertain me, while I don't care about anything involving modern gaming. You can have your 1080ps and your 60 frames per seconds, but I really don't care.

I think it was more about calling them whores than anything else. Could be, though it looks bad when you're chastising someone for casting judgement on a group of people and then proceed to cast judgement on a separate group of people right after. I will say I did not like how most of the songs on there have these long intros before the song gets in (like in the title track), but it is a good album. "Better" is especially awesome.

Not necessarily disagreeing, brah! I LOVE that song. And I've loved 'Madagascar' since they debuted it at the MTV awards in 2002.

The fear of faux "geek girls" to me is because nerdy dudes are secretly terrified that they will become socially ostracized in their own world, too. Like, hot girls who like comics, will STILL go for the same alpha-brained meatballs as before, while simultaneously adding level of social shallowness to their genre that will STILL leave said dudes perpetually unlaid and wall-flowers in their own bubbles. I get it. But I don't believe it, honestly. Girls are awesome, and I welcome them with open arms and open pants into anything I love and follow. There's a fear that by trying to reach a larger audience the edgier/in-depth/risky/geeky/whatever aspect that appeals to the original fans is lost. There are many cases where this has happened in just about everything be that sport, music, film, TV, videogames, wrestling etc so that's an understandable fear. The faux geek girl is just one aspect of that but it's the easiest one to point to. However there are many men the same issues could apply to, I for instance enjoy comic book movies, TV and videogames but never actually read comic books. I therefore need certain things explained to me that hardcore fans won't which may harm the product they want to see. Which sort of brings me around to my unpopular opinion that many comic book characters now transcend their original medium in a similar way to the likes of Dracula and Sherlock Holmes.

If you talk crazy to people, don't act like you're too good to get flack for talking crazy.
I love Universal Mind Control by Common. I want better dance/rap music and I got that from this album. I want more esteemed rappers to make good dance music instead of putting up with radio trash. I hate when people complain about something being played out. You're not the first person to comment on something hitting critical mass and you're not the last person that's going to comment on something hitting critical mass. So, what are you really bringing to the conversation? Plus while you're commenting on something being played out, you're probably doing at least five other things that are just as overdone as the thing that sticks in your craw.
I hate the sharp knees meme. High standards of beauty are a problem, but the people that make the sharp knees meme are just capeing for the conventionally attractive women that they like.

Mayonnaise was forged by Satan himself. As was ranch dressing. I would rather be covered in blood than in ranch dressing. Okay, if it was AIDS blood, different story, but still. Not sure how unpopular it is, but "Chinese Democracy" is a damn good album. Some of my favorite songs are on that thing. I really, really like I.R.S., definitely my favorite. The title track, Better, If The World (great solo), and Sorry are also favorites. Not a bad record at all.

Anyone know what was up with that "Guest" ghost post? Saw that as well. Impressive that his post was on December 31, 1969 at 7:00 pm. I wasn't aware FAN was around that long.

I didn't even know guests could post. I figured it was just a glitch. The Matrix resetting itself.

It's a story that has been lost to the ages, but these forums were actually created by Alistair X. Fan in 1913. Unfortunately, the Great Purge of 2004 left us without a record of most of what happened back then.

U hate when people complain about something being played out. You're not the first person to comment on something hitting critical mass and you're not the last person that's going to comment on something hitting critical mass. So, what are you really bringing to the conversation? Plus while you're commenting on something being played out, you're probably doing at least five other things that are just as overdone. Oh that reminds me, that complaint is often made about vampire or zombie related media, apparently there are too many entries in those genres despite them being far fewer in number when compared to say cop shows or First Person Shooters. Just like those cop shows or FPSs each one can be vastly different to the point they're almost different genres, nobody says they're not watching Castle because they've seen The Shield recently. So in conclusion my unpopular opinion is that there should be more vampires, I may not be a fan of sparkly vampires but that new Dracula movie looks great.
