www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aNaGBr3lRg Funny as shit, it all started when Floyd dissed 50 Cent, he responded challenging Floyd to read a page from any Harry Potter book. The clip is from a radio show in which Floyd has trouble reading drops. It starts around the 6 min mark, I know that, allegedly, his management team takes care of him, but he might end up going down the Tyson route, losing a lot when his career is over.
Edit: Sorry, I f***ed up, its around the 2:30 mark

@floydmayweather Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless. pic.twitter.com/dpwE3X7eLR

It's really sad to see 50 Cent and Nelly are so irrelevant that they have to resort to this so that people can actually remember that they exist.

50 Cent has 500 million dollars from Vitamin Water. He's fine. This is just rich friends messing with their rich friends.

Floyd actually had a better response, "i see your $750K & raise you a mill if you can post a vid of ur son saying he loves you"
Whoa! Well on Floyd's defense, he dropped out of high school, although from the clip, idk if he even reached High School....

Just proof that all of the money in the world doesn't buy class.

Not sure why Floyd Mayweather thinks he'll be able to take on an entire city in the UK, but it'll draw a big number on PPV I suppose.

So, is it just a natural reading issue from not doing it so much (I mean, it's not like he has to worry about presenting reports) or is it damage from years of boxing? I mean, undefeated doesn't mean he hasn't been getting punched in the head for years.

I think that based on his lifestyle, having a giant entourage, all the "ladies" that follow him around, and the hundreds of expensive cars, his eventual fall isn't gonna be pretty.

It never is. Tyson has said many times learn from his mistakes The similarities I get from the 2 is the entourages, Tyson said that he felt so lonely that he liked having leeches around, same as Floyd, allegedly no one from The money team visit him in prison.
I always found it weird that he came back after his retirement, the money definitely played a factor.

Floyd's not gonna be like Tyson. He's possibly the most business savvy athlete around, and he's not being weighed down by a Don King type. He's got a bright future in business or promoting ahead of him.

He donated 72 million dollars to prove something, but the Hooked on Phonics Master Reader is only $159.95. Looks like Money Mayweather needs to work on more than his reading.

Didn't he had troubles with the IRS a couple of years ago? I hope he doesn't ends like Tyson, I really do, I'm just scared that the people he has around him don't look for his best interest.

He's considered one of the best marketers in boxing for a reason. He essentially promotes his own fights, and makes more money than anyone out there, which comes in part because of his DIY mentality with regards to the promoting process. The CEO of Golden Boy called him the smartest marketer he'd ever met. In wrestling terms, he knows how to "get heat". He's a genius in terms of getting a reaction out of people and getting them to pay for his stuff, and once he's retired he'll do that full time with Mayweather Promotions.

Yeah he knows how to get people's attention, he's the biggest ppv attraction out there, but who is he gonna promote when he retires? No one can pull off 2 million buys except him, neither Canelo, Maidana, or Amir Khan, to name a few, can pull those ppv buys without having Floyd on the card. I don't see Pacquiao working for him and he's the closest to get those type of buys. Floyd is a great marketer of his persona, but can he manage a promotion? In boxing where best friends stab each other to get ahead (Oscar de la Hoya and Richard Schaefer), can Floyd survive that political climate?

When Floyd retires Boxing is dead Disagree. When he retires/loses once and he legacy dissolves, boxing has a chance to actually return. The biggest fighter, whoever he is, might not duck every major challenge that comes their way, and fans won't get hooked on some manufactured undefeated streak determining fighters aren't good the moment they lose. When boxing becomes boxing again, it could flourish.

When boxing becomes boxing again, it could flourish. Yeah I agree with you, but it isn't Floyd's fault entirely, the flawed system that is in place caters to him, he gets to duck the logical challengers because they work for another promotion (Pacquiao is in Bob Arum's Top Rank), unless all the promotions agree to work with one another (less likely) or there's only a promotion left (like the ufc) that controls all the fighters, so that nobody ducks anybody. Richard Schaefer also admitted that he wished that boxing would follow the ufc's business model regarding losses, he said that if a guy loses for the first time in boxing his interest diminishes, but the ufc doesn't care that much for it, they can build the guy again and make him look like a great deal. In order for boxing to survive post Mayweather, the complexion needs to change, who knows maybe the rumored merger between Golden Boy and Top Rank would be the first step to having one promotion, another change that would work would be only having one champion per weight class.
