Salvation is f***ing awesome. 3 was good. Skipped it until I saw it on fx and then have seen it on fx and amc about 200 times since. I love Terminator, all things. Including the unnecessarily hated Salvation. Side note the Salvation ps3 game was also awesome. I agree, except for the game part. The game was aright. I consider myself a terminator fanatic and I understand the complaints involved with number 3 and salvation but, they are still great movies either way. The game was so difficult, even simple tasks were hard because it paid so much notice to the idea that even one T-800 unit would be a boss. I loved it. I felt so accomplished by beating it. I have been in the hospital for going on 3 days now since my wife gave birth late Saturday night and I have the Terminator Omnibus comics here as my reading material. Yes three is more of a popcorn action flick, and so people like it less, but it's a really fun popcorn action flick. Salvation gave me something that I have wanted to see since I was a little kid. I was always fascinated with the war in the future. Again, been a fanatic my whole life so I guess I have clouded judgement, but I love Salvation a lot.

I've never bothered with this one. I feel now like I did when it first came out: it's completely unnecessary. Not like its worse then the 4th one It is worse than Salvation. At least Salvation has some fun scenes and good action, T3 is a poor imitation of T2 while telling us T2 never mattered to begin with. TALK TO DA HAND huur huur huur huur

It was OK, but unnecessary.
T1 and T2 suffice.

Im looking forward to the new one Whoa, color me confused here. But is there a reason why a Terminator has gray hair? Is this a sequel or a prequel to the events of T1 and T2?

There's going to be some very interesting stuff going on in Genisys. {Spoiler}They're going to recreate scenes from T1 with the original Terminator and an older Arnold/ BTW, you guys should read one of the T3 writers blog on the movie and Salvation. johnbrancato.blogspot.ca/

I have said before that I wish they used Arnold as the man that the Terminator is based on instead of an aging T 800 unit.

I don't know about the Terminator smiling in these pictures, unless they turned him into Next Wave era Machine Man

There doesn't need to be an explanation for everything. Arnold should just be the Terminator. Besides, he's just one of many models. There's too many prequels that try to explain how everything came to be and they mostly fail. Just let it be mysterious.

Not like its worse then the 4th one Oh 4 sucked on all levels; definitely not denying that. I gave that one a shot because it seemed different enough with the John Connor thing that it might be interesting, especially with Bale. Nope.

I saw this flick in theatres and enjoyed it, even though the action sequences are largely rehashes of those from T2.
My three biggest criticisms of the film:
(1) Edward Furlong did not reprise his role as John Connor (I think he had serious drug problems at the time the film was shot).
(2) The T-800 that Arnold plays in T3 seems a little too human-like at times. What I mean by that is that Arnold would show facial expressions (i.e. grimaces) that the T-800 machines from Terminator 1 and 2 did not.
(3) As entertaining as it was, Terminator 3 was unnecessary as a sequel and actually did the series a disservice by negating Terminator 2's awesome ending (Which was a perfect point to end the series on a very, very high note).

Terminator 10/10 Terminator 2 10/10 Terminator 3 7/10 Salvation 2/10
Man, the forth film sucked. As a massive Terminator fan it was one of the only times I came out of a film in the cinema pissed off with what I saw.
The other times being Date Movie and Reno 911.

It was totally unnecessary but its f***ing Citizen Kane when compared to Salvation. See, I felt the exact opposite. I thought the story of Salvation was actually quite interesting, and I thought Anton Yelchin was phenomenal as a young Kyle Reese. It could have been a better film sure, but you could tell that they put serious thought and passion into the project. T3, to me, just felt like a lazy cash-grab.
