Strange many people thought at the time he wasn't. For me, the difference between Ryback and Reigns is that Ryback is a REAL big guy and his in ring limitations are to be expected. The most we expect from a guy like Ryback in-ring is to just not injure people (CARELESSNESS aside). Reigns should be held to a higher standard because he's not a "hoss" (no matter how much they try to sell him as one), and because WWE wants him to be "face of the company". www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWNIC-ddgoswww.youtube.com/watch?v=XQsAi6JpKbQI don't know, he seems pretty strong to me. Ryback's stronger, absolutely, but Roman's strength's not really lacking. His problem is variety, we keep seeing his same spots, spots which were fantastic for 6 man tags, but which seem more contrived in singles matches.

I see Reigns in the same mold as a Cena, or even Sting in his early career, not exactly a 'big guy' but he can lift up The Big Show after several failed attempts and can get fired up after a beatdown. A guy like Ryback's main strength is, well, his strength, much like Batista, Lesnar, Goldberg, etc.

They made it sound like he had an injury on Main Event.

As soon as they heard the response for Ryback turning heel on Cena, they should have changed their minds. Major, major missed opportunity that they probably can't get back

www.pwmania.com/backstage-news-on-rybacks-wwe-status-his-cryptic-tweet-cm-punk-mentionRyback tweeted that he was going away for a while. His tweet included a photo of his action figure standing over CM Punk’s action figure with a “sorry punk” commented. WWE sources noted to PWInsider that back when Ryback feuded with Punk in 2012, there was a spot at an event where Ryback was supposed to drop Punk through a table. The spot was botched and Punk hit the floor, causing Punk to be hurt. Some of the wrestlers were under the impression this week that Ryback was just taking a shot and making fun of CM Punk.

Ryback in earlier 2012 was meh. But when I saw him on top of the Cell in October with him yelling FEED ME MORE and the crowd going along with it sold me on the dude. I was a fan since the Cell match. Ryback has improved a lot since then. He got more likable during the bully segments and the stuff with Heyman.
But that Raw from two weeks ago in Vegas was how I want Ryback to be when he returns. Keep him goofy and book him to his strengths and for the love of God don't go over board with it and show some weakness to him. And DAMMIT Ryback needs a title in his repertoire.

Major, major missed opportunity that they probably can't get back I love that people were even wondering if he'd actually turned heel when that happened, or if he'd just pulled a tweener move. That's what I would have done. As soon as I heard that crowd go apeshit for Ryback and pop huge for him giving Cena the "up yours" gesture, I would have begun planning his run as a badass tweener who will just kick anyone's ass but is done with being the nice guy. Basically Sycho Sid 2.0. Yeah, he beats up babyfaces, but he also plays to the crowd and bumps fists with the people cheering him on his way to the ring.

I'm guessing he has some type of groin injury. He's been wearing compression shorts for a few months now.

I'm laughing that he calls himself a 4-time former WWE Champion. Though I'm pissed he can't call himself a former WWE Champion.

The thing I take from that the most is that it was the one week that commentary tried to get over "Big Hungry" as his nickname. That was hilarious.

Ryback saying he is good friends with Babe Ruth in such a serious way is why this guy needs to mix the FEED ME MORE stuff with the personality of DA BIG GUY.
Print money for this man. f*** that, give him a pen and some paper so he can draw money. Damn.

I had a dream last night where Ryback was talking to me one to one and saying he'll be back stronger than ever, so that hospital video is kind of surreal to me.

I'm mad no one has told his camera guy to turn the damned thing to the side yet.
But in all honesty, I've loved Da Big Guy since he was Skip Sheffield in NXT. Here's hoping for a quick and full recovery, so he can come back bigger than ever.

Here's to him getting healthy after being in that shape for a long time. I genuinely believe like many have already expressed, that he could instantly slot into the main event. Have the to babyfaces being beat down, then "FEED ME!" hits? Place will explode.

They REALLY missed the boat not having him stay face/tweener and getting a win over Cena. He'd be a solid main event guy right now.

We can argue about what constitutes as "ready", but man...Ryback was ready. Not only that, but he has a very marketable look and presence. I don't care if he's limited to the hoss style. We haven't had a top guy like that in a while. He's got more of a presence than a guy like Sheamus or Reigns, who have their own strengths but Ryback just seemed like a superstar ripped right out of the 90's.
