I don't get it.
That terrible clusterf*** Raw seemed to suggest that the beating by Lesnar woke Cena up. Cena forgot he was strong and aggressive so he lost but now he remembers so he's gonna win.
Because otherwise, why didn't Cena pull this shit out when he was feuding with Wyatt/

Cena just needs prep time.

That's exactly what it was.
This is pretty much Rocky III but Cena is his own Apollo Creed.
Which, admittedly, is going to be really awkward when they get to Rocky IV with Rusev.

I just hate Cena's character period.

See, him having his doubts and not knowing if he could even face Brock again would be interesting. That would actually sell the vulnerability that they tried to push so hard throughout the show and make the guy a well rounded character.
Nope, he's gonna "make a statement to Brock!" Because even after getting his ass kicked Cena can't legitimately be vulnerable.

Cena's character is just the dirt worst. At this point, the only amusement is in hearing those few people who don't see it attempt (and fail) to illogically defend it. Nothing was gained by his promo or match tonight. Just terrible, terrible booking.
Hopefully this means Lesnar kills him again, though. Brock's a heartless monster and all, but there's just something so soothingly therapeutic about him killing Cena's character dead. It's the only saving grace lately.

I literally was so disgusted at that pure runny shits ending I had to get up and walk it off. I swear, I wish people would just turn their backs to cena from here till the ppv in protest of that explosive diarrhea type of booking and burying of wyatt for no damn reason. No cheers, no boos, just turn your backs. And stick soap in the mouths of the kids and women cheering for him.

How I miss the days of training vignettes.
At least those wouldn't result in other guys being buried.

I wouldn't have minded it if they had approached it another way, with Cena realising he has to be better to beat Lesnar.
But instead of telling us he has to improve and work harder, he told us that it turns out he had this strength and power all along.
In one match he might have just shrugged and pointed out that if he'd thought about it, he would have just finished Wyatt in 2 mins at Mania.

I liked the idea. Execution sucked. Sorry but the Wyatts are too good to be squashed. Should have been Miz or Rybaxel.

They could have given us some character development. but nope. cena just goes out there like nothing happened cutting 'edgy' promos and giving the Wyatts his shitty looking finisher.
We want wwe to be more like MadMen but we just get Pokemon.
Explanation: MadMen develops their characters, people in the background suddenly get fleshed out and interesting. Yet we get Team Rocket trying to steal pikachu and getting blast off every ppv and/or raw.

Its almost like an addiction at this point. Summerslam was this big intervention where for the first time in a while WWE wasn't doing the Cena domination habit and was going to get clean, before they fell of the wagon and had to taste the stuff again.

By comparison, here's Hogan's feud with Earthquake in a nutshell www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTZvrV2I8PwToward the end he talks about recapturing his fire and whatnot, but they sold the hell out of the beatdown for a significant amount of time prior to that. Yes, part of it was because he was off doing a movie or whatever, but they legitimately had his character hurt and broken down before coming back.

Bryan training harder and wrestling smarter. Not some convoluted buffoonery where that wasn't the real him or something. WWE didn't just drop the ball here. They stabbed it, popped it, set it on fire, then f***ed the airhole.

They'd already shown Cena training hard for the match. It was part of the montage with Brock's training.
