I've done a 180 on him. At first I thought he was boring and lame but he has been impressing me lately. He is a guy who actually improves and gets better every week and it shows. Last time I've seen a wrestler that shows very visible improvement every week in a short period of time was Umaga. Hopefully ends up being like Umaga 2.0 that he makes an outdated 80's gimmick character work.
Also Lana is excellent but she's been excellent from the start

Swagger should have beaten him. I was super into that feud and after Swagger lost at Summerslam, I quit caring about either guy. That isn't what should happen after a white hot feud.

I love the big guy. Real looking offense, looks like he could legit destroy someone without a thought. I think he's going to have a nice spot on the roster for a while. Face turn is already built in for when he loses a few and his manager replaces him with a "real Russian" YES! He has one of the best offeneses in a long time. I think they give him special rights to really mess guys up and hit them as hard as he can because everything he does looks so real. I think he's a better monster now than Brock was in 2002. They should keep Rusev undefeated and feeed him as many guys as they can so he can go into Wrestlemania undefeated and win the title. That has never happened, WWE needs a guy who is truly dominant because Brock Lesnar right now cannot cut the mustard.

He's really, really good. He sells exceptionally well--arguably better than anyone else on the roster. His moves look brutish and powerful; exactly as they should be for a man of his size and build.
Rusev has such an odd juxtaposition of attributes. He's built like a giant beef cube with feet, but he's not an ugly guy by any means. When he cleans up, he manages to look pretty badass. He moves really well for someone his size. As mentioned before, his selling is top-notch. He's got great presence in the ring, which is unusual for a hoss-type wrestler.
Plus Lana is doing a solid job as a manager. I hope they move on from the foreign heel thing ASAP and focus on other storylines. Neither Lana nor Rusev have really shown much character due to the nature of their storyline and what's required of them. Maybe when they get done with this, which it seems like they'll soon do, we'll get to see their personalities on-screen.

And it sucks because the last 2 matches they've had have been really good, IMO. Swagger deserves better than feuding with Bo f***ing Dallas. The only way that is forgivable is if Swagger just straight up kills him

Swagger vs Rusev has been the best WWE midcard feud in a long, long time.

long term, the gimmick has no legs. it's cheap heat and can only be used so long before people get tired of it. he's decent enough and has a good manager, it's mostly a matter of WWE evolving the gimmick or giving him something else to do before it gets stale.

Khali went for the big boot from the corner- and whiffed entirely. Mistakes happen, not shitting on Khali, but it was something that could have gone terribly. How many times have we seen guys out there, even veterans, looking completely lost the second things don't go right, stammering and sputtering "Do I, no...?" Nope, he moved Khali's kick and just worked Khali's midsection, covering for the botch seamlessly to where it looked like he was just countering. Totally natural, committing to a course of action to where most fans probably didn't notice, and Khali and Rusev came out smelling like roses.

He's not a future main eventer yet but I like the throwback feel of his character. If they started directing their Russian propaganda towards heels instead of the crowd, it might come off less forced and more tongue-in-cheek. Him and Lana could probably be good midcard faces.

He and Lana are way, way adrift at the bottom of the list of people on the roster I find entertaining.

I like him well enough still think his leaping Superkick should be his finisher... also that the WWE missed an opportunity at Summerslam not having Nikolai Volkoff sing the Russian National Anthem

Camel Cluthes are heel moves, usually, unless you're Steiner.

He's a good-enough big man, but everything about how he's being handled is paint-by-numbers.

He seems pretty good except for his terrible 1980's gimmick.

Seems talented enough. More than just being a good big man, he seems straight-up GOOD.
I'd like to see what he's capable of outside of the 1980s shtick.
