I'm not much of a Gamecube fan myself, but I really enjoyed Eternal Darkness and F-Zero GX. I never got into Zelda: Wind Waker or Metroid Prime for some reason, and I've always hated the Resident Evil series (RE4 wasn't too bad, though).
Oh yeah, Super Smash Bros. Melee is a fun game as well, although I always get my ass kicked by everyone on that game.

Animal Crossing - Buy a memory card off ebay for this game (cost you an extra $20) so you can play NES GOLF!, SMB, and PUNCH OUT! Actually there is a cheat disc that has this for like 10 to 5 dollars but it screws up your fountain and its never satisfied but if you do some town travels you can get them all and return to your normal town and delete the other town.

Theres not nearly enough Melee love on this thread. That game is the whole reason I got a Gamecube!

SSBM, Zelda:TWW, Mario Golf, and Eternal Darkness are my all time favs.
Also throw in SC II because playing as Link is worth the price of admission.

I always wanted to play Zelda : Four Swords for the Gamecube, but heard it was better with 4 people playing at once.
