Im listening to Green Day's b-side compilation "Shenanigans" and i have to say there's lots of good stuff on this album that should have made it to full albums (Suffocate, Desensitized, Do Do Da, Sick of Me, Ha Ha You're Dead). What are some other good bands with great b-sides?

Not a "band" per se, but Prince has always had great b-sides that could have been lead singles. La La La He He Hee, 17 Days, Erotic City, etc.

U2 has made a few good ones, especially in their early days.
They Might Be Giants have the best ones though imo.

Some of the best songs Noel Gallagher ever wrote are on B-sides.

I don't know if this is the case for all of her songs, but the b-side tracks for Alanis Morrisette's singles off of her smash hit album Jagged Little Pill were all better than the singles themselves. All in all, that album was tremendous and did not have a single weak song on it. Hell, even the hidden track was pretty damned good.

The Gaslight Anthem have a tendency to use b-sides on the deluxe editions of their releases that end up being better than half of the actual album. "She Loves You", "Blue Dahlia", and "Have Mercy" are all awesome tracks that 99% of the world has never heard.

With a single example each, just 5 off the top of my head: Suede (Killing of a Flashboy), Super Furry Animals (Don't Be A Fool, Billy), Manic Street Preachers (Patrick Bateman), Honeycrack (Still Dead...), The Damned (Video Nasty)

Radiohead's B-Sides are sometimes better than the albums.
"Talk Show Host" "The Daily Mail" "Staircase"
Etc.

One of Manchester Orchestra's greatest songs is a b-side.
And Andy Hull's side project Right Away, Great Captain has an entire album of b-sides and demos that is just as good as any of the official releases. Just one talented guy.

Oasis. Some of the best songs Noel Gallagher ever wrote are on B-sides. 1st thing that came to mind. The Masterplan (an album compilation of b-sides) is better than every Oasis album, save for Definitely Maybe (which is untouchable). Pearl Jam also put out many amazing b-sides that ended up being compiled on Lost Dogs.
