The burial of Luigi post Super Mario World up until Luigi's Mansion. Mario held his brother back from competing in RPG, 64 and Paper Mario. No wonder Luigi snapped in Mario Kart 8 in the way that he did. He looks like he could f***ing tear Mario's goddamned head off if they weren't racing.

I found Lucy's swerve in Assassin's Creed Revelations to be out of nowhere and totally made no sense to me at the time.

Guile has two moves of doom... Bison insults Chun-Li's dead father, and she gets dragged all over the place as she hangs onto the casket her father's body is in. Bison kills his father and doesn't whine about it, but he too rides on his casket. But for him, it was Tuesday...

I found Lucy's swerve in Assassin's Creed Revelations to be out of nowhere and totally made no sense to me at the time. Yeah, it felt like they were going to have Desmond have conflict with his fellow Assassins, then turn around and throw that bullshit at us? So f***ing stupid.

the Catalyst in Mass Effect 3 might as well have been that smug pic of Vince Russo.

Not a Russo swerve, but a Joss Whedon or GoT swerve in FF7 with Aerith and how that unfolded.

I found Lucy's swerve in Assassin's Creed Revelations to be out of nowhere and totally made no sense to me at the time. It still makes no sense, since the there wasn't any real payoff from that plot thread.

No More Heroes is basically wrestling booking.
Many a JRPG builds up one massive heel throughout the game and then do a rubbish swerve at the end and make the final boss some entity you couldn't care less about. It's like WWE building Brock up for months and then and then having him drop the title to a debuting Bull Dempsey the Raw before WM. Final Fantasy 9 being the most obvious and least spoilerific example.
Link's Awakening has one of the better swerves at the end but heel kirby? That’s like turning Ricky Steamboat heel, who would boo Kirby?

My heel turn in SmackDown vs RAW 2006 after running over Teddy Long. What the hell was that about?

the Catalyst in Mass Effect 3 might as well have been that smug pic of Vince Russo. Although unlike Russo, you can make him go away. Also in Mass Effect, the Batarians leaving the Citadel because of Humans being in space. If they had hit up humanity and said "Hey we want to be your friends...or else!" who was going to stop them? Noooooooooooooooobody. And in the first game, Saren going to find the Conduit that...takes him back to the Citadel. Was it ever explained why he even went out looking for it instead of opening the Citadel relay at the beginning of the story?

The "Uh-oh, it's magic!" storyline from SmackDown! vs Raw 2007. Literal bizarre video game booking.

The Grey Prince in Oblivion. The hottest angle the imperial arena ever had and then it ends in a fingerpoke of doom to crown a new champion.

My heel turn in SmackDown vs RAW 2006 after running over Teddy Long. What the hell was that about? If you accuse John Cena, it'll be you who ran over Teddy Long. However, if you accuse RVD, it sets up the ECW storyline, and Chris Jericho will be the one who ran Teddy over.
