So, I guess this would be the place to ask - I'm thinking about getting EA UFC because the MyCareer mode looks like it MAY tide me over for a while until WWE2k15. I only have mild interest in MMA and I've never really played an MMA game before. Is this game a decent buy or would I be wasting my monies?

Okay so I played it today
+ same build, goldust+cena+orton+cesaro + grappling system at the start of the match feels bait shonky but looks great to people watching + character models look great but they really make the rest of the arena and crowd look even more terrible and last gen in comparison + stamina system feels right, doesn't feel annoying like the one from a few years ago + still feels like the previous games with new gameplay models put in and a few gameplay tweaks

Like, it's more sim based etc, and there's no real story to the career, it's basically TUF->Undercard->Uppercard->Contendership->Win title->defend title, then you retire after 40 fights. I mean, I personally love it, but I don't know if someone who doesn't like MMA would. Maybe try a demo first.

I love coming into these threads every year just to read peoples unrealistic DLC character expectations. Even better are the complaints almost entirely self-contained in this very thread. If someone gets released that was on the current year's roster: "f***! This game is out of date now!" If a wrestler changes their attires in any way, be it color or complete design overhaul: "f***! This game is out of date now!" If the developer doesn't reveal every minute detail about the game before May 15th of the year: "I f***ing hate when they make us wait. I'm sitting out this year!" If there aren't 1,283 videos covering every new addition to the series in the current installment prior to release day: "I'm not buying this piece of crap." If someone debuts close to release date: "f***! I'll bet they'll be DLC and we'll have to PAY for these new characters that didn't make it into the final version of the game!" If a completely optional to purchase DLC character is released that isn't to their liking: "f*** you, WWE. I hate playing as Kane!" 6 MONTHS LATER Those same posters will be the most frequent posters updating everyone on their current universe. Christian v.s. Big McLargehuge for the IC Title is the main event of my all NXT (and good workers) universe PPV? Better post it. Post, about a game they dreaded coming out, threw fits about when they weren't invited backstage to test it, have input on it, and oversee it's development, essentially. Post about a game they made it a point to vocalize (via message board) that they weren't going to buy the game because it looked like shit based on a two minute teaser commercial and a few translated early demos from writers who probably haven't ever picked up a wrestling game in their entire lives. Rinse. Repeat. While it might be a chore to sift through sometimes in order to find a post containing more information about the upcoming game, I do admit that the yearly "This game will suck, I won't buy it" followed by "Hey, check out what I'm doing in this game" is awesome. I've posted in these threads for about 6 years now and I find that it is usually the same people year in, year out, who are culprits of this.

Just realized that on the WWE Network Roster Reveal, they showed a new scene of Rusev vs Henry.

I love coming into these threads every year just to read peoples unrealistic DLC character expectations. If we don't get Owen Hart (with Slammy Winner, King of Harts, KOTR '94, Black Hart, Nation of Domination and High Energy attires), Ed "Strangler" Lewis and The Fabulous Kangaroos this year, I'm throwing every video game system I own in the Delaware River!!!

I've said in the past, I always mean to make a list of all the posters saying "I'M NOT BUYING THIS!" and then compare it to a list of people posting later on. Because you're right, it's always the same people, and it's always hilarious. Me personally, I'll always buy 'em. As long as they update the roster, add some new stuff, moves etc, I'll buy 'em without fail to get my up-to-date wrasslin fix. I find that I can never play game for months and months on end, as it'll get boring after a few weeks. But the WWE games, with the various creative suites and Universe etc being unending, I can always come back to them, make new CAWs to debut, fiddle about with an existing CAWs moveset a bit, make some new feuds and generally enjoy myself.

I read somewhere that Corey Graves was confirmed... I hope he's in. I liked the guy and it's a shame that post-concussion issues have sidelined him indefinitely.

On confirming people, someone asked Bill DeMott if he's in and he said yes. Hopefully it's just like, a cameo in the performance center. I mean, I'm not usually one to get annoyed about people not being on the roster, but if Heath Slater has been omitted whilst Hugh f***ing Morris has got in as a playable character, I'll be pissed.

It'd be odd for him to somehow be playable, but the roster is so strong already that I could forgive one or two weird ones making the cut.
(Personally, the only person I'm REALLY hoping for at this point is Emma)

He makes an appearance in NXT mode pressuring divas not to sue him for sexual harassment?

Bill DeMott you say? Knocking out Bill DeMott in the game with a jelly donut would be poetic justice.

You can just imagine all the kids at home right now begging their parents for the special Bill Demott pre-order. His special naked stink face will really look good in this years game.

If we're including NXT trainers, forget DeMott. Give me Norman Smiley!
