The suspense is killing me to see what 2k has cooked up to release today!

Maybe I missed it but is Tyler Breeze in? The entire roster hasn't even been mentioned, so fingers crossed he's either just not mentioned, or a secret unlockable.

Maybe I missed it but is Tyler Breeze in? He's not officially announced, but 2K said a couple of days ago that there are some characters who will sneak in as surprises. I'm thinking he could be in one of the NXT storylines.

2K gave Wale the last-gen version and here's what he confirms:
- CM Punk has a date next to his name for his attire (12-13 Summer of Punk) - Austin's only 90 overall - Roman's at 89 overall - Bryan's at 93/94 overall - Graphics are meh because it's last-gen

Also, Cena as a psuedo-boss fight in the last-gen NXT mode is nifty.

NXT Arrival arena is in! Looks like it will only be in the PS3/360 versions? Since they showed a picture of it on 360, I imagine that they're using a current-gen/next-gen naming for the generation of platforms rather than last-gen/current-gen.

Oh. I wonder if it might find its way into the NXT Arrival DLC pack for current gen. And a WCW arena for the WCW pack.
I totally get the current/next gen, makes sense. 'Last gen' doesn't sound as appealing.

Had a go at the Summerslam build at Expo today. Paired up with a guy who was similarly interested in trying everything out, so had a fun brawl in the No Holds Barred option.
Pluses: - Wrestlers really do look a lot better. Goldust really stood out, and I can see why they chose to put him in the opening lineup. - Everything seems to act how it should, physics wise. It was so nice doing a Neutraliser through the table and them actually crashing on top of it, not through it. Throwing people into the stairs has them bouncing off in nifty ways, rather than the bottom of the stairs vanishing. And they can actually have moves landing on top of them once they're exposed! Similarly, all the Announce Table detritus sticking around was nice. And the timekeeper's area is a lot more accurate. - All the new move animations looked really nicely done, but the old ones didn't stick out, either. And the new 'charged finisher' option works better than the classic Wake Up Taunt equivalent. It was really fluid doing Cena's wakeup into the AA and pin. - The winning animations looked really good, and the details like the sweat on the wrestlers made it even more realistic. And it was nice to see the weapons we'd used still lying around the ring, rather than just a pre-made animation on a pre-made backdrop.
Minuses: - After how everything was revamped around ringside, it was a pity to go up the ramp and find nothing but a collection of invisible walls, where an Irish Whip would only result in a wrestler running on the spot. We felt nostalgic for the days of throwing people off the ramp and climbing the Smackdown fist. - In the Summerslam build at least, replays seemed to be completely glitched. - The catch wrestling minigame is too short to be actually interesting, but too long to be unobtrusive. Just brings things to a juddering halt at the start of a match. - The stamina wears out incredibly quickly. Led to a few nice moments, like hitting an AA and having to crawl for the pin (although you couldn't seem to actually crawl into it, just get closer and then wait to stand up so you can press the pin button), but I hope it can be turned down/off.
In general, I was happier than I thought I'd be with it. There are things I don't like, but it seems like a solid step forward, and if the CAW modes and so forth are good, I probably will pick it up at some point. And the 2K staff at the event were lovely.

Cool that the combo Batista Bomb/RKO from WM30 is in the game.

I wonder how hard that NXT vs Cena match will be? The reward for beating him with the NXT stars is unlocking the entire roster so its got to be super challenging

For how much they hyped that they were gonna release something I thought it'd be maybe more info about... something... idk... That didn't get me excited.

Given that the concept is pretty much like Beat the Streak from 2K15, I imagine that the Cena match will be just the same in difficulty (though with DQs this time around).

Man, THAT'S the Batista I wanted to see. He looks legit. Here's some other impressions:
- The realism and likeness to the superstars in this game is insane. Cesaro for example looks so realistic. You'd think that was him out there. I mean that Superplex? What?! - Bray looked pretty damn good, loved it. - Bryan's hair isn't as near bad as the trailer made it seem, still it's not amazing but definitely good enough. - Harper looked great. He moved at the same speed as he would, looks the same, nice dive. - Orton and Batista, my god, they were flatout amazing. Look at their mannerisms, movements, that's realistic.
Loved it.
