I heard the ref call shemaus by his make when he was trying to get him out of the corner Fairly certain they did that last year. And at least the crowd doesn't just chant "Boring" whenever you use a CAW. Made SvR 06 rather annoying.

Most of the caws I download from community creations are updated attires for the actual wrestlers themselves.
Also, I have no issue with the 25 slots, especially if the caws themselves are actually equal to that of the actual superstars. Quality over quantity is fine with me for now, especially when it's the first game on the new generation of consoles -- I'll be less forgiving in the future if it's the same case.
Game sounds great.

I just had a look at my 60-CAW roster and decided to see what I could do with it to make it fit the limit. If I lost my entire Divas roster, all of my undercard and a few really important characters that have lasted for over a decade, I might just squeeze under. And then I wouldn't be able to download any CAWs or edit any wrestlers on the roster since they take up spots too. And if Superstar Threads has been entirely replaced, that means no customisation of the in game roster at all.
I feel uneasy about skipping a year given that I haven't missed a single one in the Smackdown-VS RAW-WWE-2K series thus far, but it seems that this game has nothing for me beyond marginally better weapons physics.

Quality over quantity for me. You can bet your life if we had 100 shit last gen looking CAWs they'd get slated too. Ignore the 30 or so great tidbits released and focus on the one negative, which has been explained upfront and honestly. Gotta love it Maggle. For a lot of people the CAW mode is pretty much the main reason for owning the game, as has been said multiple times. Restricting it, reasonable or not was going to cause problems. Yeah, at 25 I can probably make my a+b tier people and the people that I've been making since War Zone... but I won't have any slots left over to dick around with or download new people. I'd probably complain more but none of the people I usually play online with have a current gen system yet.

If it was 50, I would have had no problem with it. We've been there, we can make it work to build up a fed. But 25 pretty much guarantees that it'll be impossible to build a fun roster, outside of, ironically enough, WWE. Couple that with Superstar threads being counted as CAWs, and we have what is essentially a limit that favors the WWE. I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that a lot of people don't build rosters by themselves. They rely on the community, on guys like Kreay Fufu and Dre41, to fill out a roster. And now that has been complicated, almost to the point where it might drive very good creators off. I'm also curious, if they're saying that it's a memory issue, how much memory will actually be used of the 25G that the discs can hold. They could be setting themselves up again for a fall.
Again, I understand what their reasoning was for it being reduced. But a lot of people are defending their decision without even seeing the CAW system, without knowing if the servers will be able to support this. There's already been a lot taken away just to get to this point, and if it's to future-proof the series, then fine, so be it. I just don't see myself investing fully in this year's game. At the most, I'll rent the game and try it out. Let's hope this is going somewhere positive.

I used all 100 last game for people that didn't make the game, old school WWF and NWA people, ROH, Japan, etc...so 25 slots is a MAJOR bummer.

BTW, can multiple saves for a game be created for PS4 and XB1? That was always a good workaround on Xbox, to use flash drives to create new saves, but my understanding is, you get 500Gigs in PS4 and that's it. They still haven't supported expandable memeory yet. Imagine if we get stuck with one save for this game on top of everything else.

Yea I'm with you here, to me all the difference was made because they upfront laid it out there for us. If I got the game without any info or knowing I'd be mad, but since they were adults and just told everybody what's what, I'm okay with it, the new things seem amazing

Damn good!! ------------------------------- CAW-wise I'll probably create a few brand new characters: {Spoiler}- Myself - A rival for myself - Another rival - Maybe 1 more opponent
After that the only ones I'll be creating are alternates
- Ambrose alternate - Rollins alternate - Reigns alternate (then again he hasn't changed much) - Stardust - Bret Hart - Razor Ramon / Scott Hall - NWO Kevin Nash / Classic Diesel - Classic HBK
I'm not going to be making a lot of people just alternates.

Its such a non-thing to most I'm sure but Justin Roberts isn't half bugging me in this game. That Sting intro and the Corey Graves "Sunset Strip". Just patch the game so we can have Lilian now Justin's gone

It's a nice touch that the crowd does the YES! taunts in time with Bryan in his entrance.

As I am getting the current gen game(PS4), the CAW does not bother me too much. I usually just downloaded Sting (favorite wrestler) and a couple others. I am really interested in my career. Now I may have missed this or misread this but can we use a CAW that was downloaded say an AJ Styles or Brian Pillman CAW to use in my career? Also anyone who has a PS4 add me scotthew89 so our CAWS can interact in my career.

I mentally went through my "CAW list" to see if I can keep it under 25. The results:
People I always make/load: Sabu, Monty Brown, Abyss, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles NXT: Tyler Breeze, Aiden English, Simon Gotch, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Kevin Owens, Charlotte, Bailey ROH: Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Raymond Rowe, Hanson, Michael Elgin Indys: Facade, Dalton Castle, RJ City, Andrew Palace
Grand total: 23. Yeah, I can make this work.

Yeah, I can make this work. There's still the possibility that most of the in-game roster will update their looks/attires by next year, so you wouldn't have enough space left for most of those you listed if you wanted to update the roster as well. Editing a Superstar takes up a CAW slot.

One tiny thing, but does it feel like during entrances, everyone has the same plain lighting?
