Someone got paid off the books.. I'm certainly not in-the-know but given the nature of the case that wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Yeah, this dude totally got paid off.Too many stories of Singer being a creepy f*** for this allegation to be totally false. I really don't understand this logic. He's been accused, therefore he must have done something, therefore he should be accused, therefore he must have done something, therefore he should be accused, therefore he must have done something, therefore he should be accused, therefore he must have done something... seems like cyclical thinking to me. And people should really refrain from making accusations of paying off the guy without any actual evidence. Then again, they should also refrain from accusing him of being a sexual predator without any actual evidence.

I think it's most likely that Singer is both skeezy and innocent of what he was accused of. Not all skeezy behavior is illegal.

Singer has had a reputation of being interested in rather young men for years. I don't know for a fact that he did anything wrong, but it's hard not to raise an eyebrow.
That said, this looked a bit like a cash grab, much like the Kevin Clash blowup did.

No one from within the industry was surprised when Singer was accused. Maybe he wasn't guilty this time but I wouldn't be shocked to hear a similar story come up.

Singer probably has done some sleazy stuff, but this entire lawsuit has seemed shady from the start. On the selfish side of things, at least we'll get X-men:Apocalypse now without a hitch.

I misread the plaintiff's name as Michael Elgin.

Now we can get moving with the lawsuit to get him to stop making x-men movies.

Now we can get moving with the lawsuit to get him to stop making x-men movies. DOFP was both a hit with critics and fans so how about no.

All his X flicks have good.
I'd put 2 and Future Past in 1st&3rd (First Class is 2nd, original is 4th)

And Singer is back under the microscope, this time in New York.

Someone got paid off the books.. Not quite. The charges were dropped "without prejudice," which means they can be refiled at some point in the future. This whole case fell apart for the accusers - there were 1 or 2 other people sued as well, but those were dropped a while ago too. Even the original filing had a lot of shadiness to it (filed in a state where there was no statute of limitations, even though IIRC the state had nothing to do with the case/charges).

That is why I said off the books. Nothing official. Looks like he is in trouble again I just read.
