He's an adequate midcarder who gets a bad rep because his initial push was as welcome as a flaming bag of dogpoop on a doorstep. People wanted TNA to push homegrown and indie talent, Hogan and Bishoff's response was to push Gunner rather than people the fans wanted... 'You want original talent? Well, here's this guy! Enjoy!'

This thread just makes me realize how much I miss king1836. I guessing he found eternal happiness when Dixie was put through the table.
On topic, Gunner is not awful, he's just painfully mediocre.
EDIT - I just remembered the whole PTSD shit. What an asshole.

He's a total WWE style wrestler. I wish TNA could make him a little more naturally exciting. I think he would best be served in a tag team. Calling Gunner a WWE style wrestler is an insult to WWE style wrestlers. Not really. I'm surprised he's not more popular on these boards because of that.

I actually enjoyed Gunner when he was using the Torture Rack as a finisher. They even called it the Gun Rack. It made him look more badass, and gave potential to have him "snap" and start killing people with the move.
So of course he doesn't use it anymore. f*** Gunner.

Out of all TNA people Gunner is the only one with genuine WWE look and feel. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing.

I'm still in awe of the five-star matches he had against Crimson. Now that was once in a lifetime.

Because that is really who he is professionally if I remember correctly. He tried to do everything possible to impress and get into WWE but they didn't touch him so now he's f***ing Gunner.

My other thought on Gunner Death Watch won't say anything positive about you, Gunner. Death Watch. If you posted in his thread, he'd ask me to delete the comment. And I would. Because you're Gunner.

f***ing Gunner. Shitty tats, shitty wrestler and not even that intense. Vance Archer was more intense than him.

By the time he had honed his supposed WWE-friendly routine the WWE had radically evolved its in-ring style.

He's mastered the Conway Inverse Algorithm (the more I heard to Look At Him, the less I wanted to). The more intense Gunner is, the more apathetic I feel. I like him more than Mr Anderson. Well, there's that. There are war criminals I probably like more than Anderson Anderson, but there's that.
