Somebody here said that everyone accepted Ryback before they killed him. Uh..no? Does no one remember like half the forum yelling that Ryback 'wasn't ready', 'couldn't talk', 'shouldn't end CM Punk's reign' and so on? Or the other half of that, the obnoxious "Vince McMahon wants me to love Ryback, so I do! In your face, IWC! I'm so rebellious thumbing my nose at you! Ryback WOOOOO!" posts in every single thread on the board no matter how little it had to do with Ryback for at least two whole months from August through October. Good thing there were no WWE related wrestling deaths during that time. Otherwise we would have had "Who cares about this person who died? I just popped into this memorial thread to show everyone how anti-IWC and rebellious and cool I am by praising hand-picked Ryback!" posts.

I think Reigns can be the top guy and I think he has more than enough talent to do so. I am more frustrated that his push is being executed poorly, at least in my opinion. A lot of this does not fall on Reigns. He does not choose his feuds. He probably does not have much of a say in his attire, music, or match set ups. I think he can have a good match (I enjoyed his one with Orton), but they focus too much on his power moves when he obviously can do other things. I think Cena's initial title run works as an analogy for how I feel. I liked Cena, but I hated how he was booked. His Mania match sucked, his feuds lacked solid stories, his matches seemed to follow the same pattern. Reigns has the tools, but he needs to be used much better going forward.

First he is really main eventing a lot and is all over the program. So more people talk about him and a lot of them have an opinion. SO talk about him is all over the place as for why there are two groups basically people who think he has a limited move set or is bad in ring or on the mic. These are people who would hate him if he was a mid carder losing matches to the Miz. Then you have people who hate everyone the WWE wants them to like. It does not matter who they push they will hate him. These people would love Reigns if he was a mid carder losing to the Miz.

I don't watch much WWE anymore, so my opinion should be taken with a heavy grain of salt. All I've seen are the ppv's in the last little while.
He's just not there yet. He's wrestling above his level. He should be mixing it up with the Sheamus/Ziggler/Miz contingent and instead he's in there with guys better than him and getting exposed.

The [insert WWE guy here] hate is because they're pushing [respective WWE guy] instead of [insert internet/indy darling here]

The hate is seems to only be coming from one sector of the fanbase and it's pretty evident why. Reigns isn't really relateable. He's not got the worker ability of Seth or Ambrose and hasn't got the underdog appeal of Bryan rising to the top against the odds. Austin was relate-able, Rock wasn't as much but just had too much charisma not to be THE guy.
Reigns will encounter the same problems Cena had. No one likes to see a guy who's got everything looks wise pushed down their throat. There isn't any sense of adversity for him making it that makes the male internet fan base want to get behind him. I totally get the dislike but he's going nowhere fast.

People are insecure creatures. Wrestling fans are comprised, sadly, by a lot of emotionally defective people. Therefore, they will hate on anything they didn't make. If something gets big, they hate it. Then they cry behind fake screen names on message boards.

The hate would be so much less present if WWE didn't make themselves so blatantly obvious about things.
Their whole, LOOK AT THIS GUY, OHHH MAN LOOOK, SEE? SEEEEEE? LOOK! SSSEEEEEEEEE? HE'S SO COOL, AND STRONG, AND COOLSTRONG! WE NEED TO MAKE MORE WORDS TO SHOW HOW COOL AND STRONG HE IS!, shtick is really really old.
Stop hotshotting guys to the top, then bringing them back down to the middle or bottom. If you're sending a guy to the top, make sure he can back it up. If not, send him through the process.
I don't care how big or good looking a guy is, they should go the Shawn Michaels route. Tag Team/Lower Card > Midcard/IC > Upper Midcard > Main Event/WWE Champion.
It worked for Bryan, granted his tag team and midcard eras were swapped. But look at how the fans felt watching the guy rise from the bottom to the top, rather than fall from the top to the bottom.

He's getting a Goldberg-esque push and reaction from the announcers and the whole thing is bizarre as he isn't any more talented than any number of "hosses" on the roster already. Nothing feels organic about this push, just like with Sheamus for example (and he's one of the people described above).

Then you won't have to come up with such ridiculous ideas that are likely to piss off more people than you want.

I don't hate Reigns at all. I like the guy. I'm just concerned that the way he's being booked is going to turn him into Cena 2.0.

According to some he stole everyone's pic-a-nic basket, others claim that he was paid to paint a fence and skipped town with the money, while still others say that he is a reptilian shapeshifter that is heading up the wrestling division of the reptilian humanoid world domination conspiracy and must usurp and destroy Cena as part of the reptilian/cyborg civil war that has been going on clandestine since time immemorial. So far the only confirmed cyborg is John Cena. Sting is sympathetic to the cause and put it all out in the open by befriending RoboCop(also an alien cyborg) and has been paying the price via double crosses by the reptilians ever since. Kurt Angle was once outed as an alien cyborg, but it turns out that he's in actuality a full on robot, Bending Unit 96 to be precise.

Haha aw. Chris Hero. I remember him. He's like 300 lbs now. WWE definitely made the right call to fire him. For once i agree with you on someone. . But let's be fair. He's "300 lbs" now because he's dealing with some bad injuries. That's why he dropped his belt to Drew. I actually accepted Reigns at the beginning. I didn't want Hero in the Shield simply because I felt he deserved to break out with his own individual persona and I didn't want the Shield to be labeled as an "Indy darling stable". But what hurt Reigns in my eyes that it seemed obvious from the beginning that he was to be the breakout star of the group. Ambrose and Rollins are talented guys, but it seemed like they were doomed to be the "Jannettys" of the Shield simply because of WWE's preferences. When they were doing six man tags, I didn't even know that Seth or Dean had finishers because every match would end with a Reigns spear. Injuries? Could you elaborate I heard he was just getting lazy.
