I don't hear to many people on here talk about Goldust's comeback ... Which he came back as a totally new person who was faster , slimer , and a overall EXCELLENT performer ,
Prior to that he was a jobber and considered a joke , but now he's teaming with Stardust , Won the Tag Titles , ... You get the picture ..
Anyways what are your thoughts on Goldust

I actually remember alot of love and support for him when he returned - with people saying exactly what you just said, how he looked better than he had ever looked in his career and definitely needed another run in the company...
I like him, I like his Darth Maul kind of look, and I wish he would get another singles run at the US or IC title, face or heel, I think he can do a pretty good job.

His comeback against Orton and the Battleground match with the Shield were awesome, but after that match I could have safely lived with him becoming an agent again. I really, really want Cody to go solo again, preferably as himself.

Goldust is doing the best work of his career, but unintentionally overshadowed his brother to the point where Cody had to rip him off to revamp his own career.

I've always been a big Goldust supporter, even in his 2009-2011 run he was having good matches on Superstars and ECW, his worst run, not counting TNA was probably 2006 when he was really overweight and just a job guy.
I've enjoyed his comeback so far, match wise, although I can't get into Stardust, Goldust had reason to be eccentric but Cody just seems forced, very Willow. I'd rather Goldust was still doing strange mind game stuff and Cody was the straight man.

Yeah Goldust coming back was great, except he essentially ruined Cody Rhodes' career at the time when he could have gotten the biggest push of his life by overshadowing him. Instead of "Cody Rhodes is ready" it became "Wow Goldust is better than ever"

I enjoy him a lot, but I'm also in the group jonesing for a Cody Rhodes solo push.

It's weird because wasn't their rumours of a Goldust vs Cody match at WM 28? Goldust was really pushing for it too. Now that he's back it seems like no attempt has been made to resurrect that feud, hopefully by WM31 Cody has dropped Stardust.

Goldust has been a character that I was drawn to ever since I was a kid, and has always been a favorite of mine. I've been behind every comeback he's had and hoped each time he would reach the heights he could've ideally in the 90's with the character. Unfortunately with each return his character's been stripped down and simplified. With him going from a Ziggy Stardust like nutjob to a kind of weird guy to now more or less a veteran that wears off facepaint.
I think, if given the chance and the right storyline & proper promo time, Dust could have one last great run. I'd love for him to hold the WWE title, if only as a transitional reign and as a thank you for all he's done. But I realize that isn't terribly realistic. Instead I'd be fine if he gets that one last great run as a means to an end for Cody.
Afterall, we keep discussing who will be the one to beat Brock and what that person needs to represent. It would make for a great story if Brock and Heyman, drunk with power, start picking on and bullying whoever they want. One of those people happen to be, while he's backstage, Booker T. This leads to Goldust standing up for his old friend and getting himself seemingly in over his head against Lesnar going into a PPV. Have Goldust play mind games, and (no pun intended) use smoke and mirrors to try to put himself on an equal playing field as Lesnar.
In the end, Lesnar crushes another victim underneath his boot heel. This leads to either immediately after or the next night Cody coming out on a hell bent revenge kick. Furious over the bloody mess Lesnar left his older brother in. Could even have Dusty get involved, with him trying to talk Cody out of it, trying to make him see reason and that they should let it go, fearing his youngest will end up like his other son. Naturally leading to him trying to hold off a confrontation between Lesnar and Cody, only for Lesnar to destroy Dusty too in front of Cody's eyes.

I often wonder if wearing the full bodysuit has kept up a lot of people's positive opinion of him. He's super slim and in great shape, has great mobility, but I have to wonder if he'd be dead in the water if we could see his mid-to-late-40's bare body, as in shape as he is. (I feel like Jushin Liger also benefits from this.)
But that doesn't take away from the fact that Goldust has been consistently great.

It's amazing how good he is, I get this Shawn Michaels kind of feel with him when it comes he better now then he was when he was younger. Shawn did the same thing. I felt HBK was better in his second run as the more veteran then he was before. Goldust in ring is the best it ever been. Even better then his 02 stuff which then he was great with Booker T. which says something.
What is amazing is that when he first showed up last year it was supposed to be short term and here it is almost a year later and he still here. I believe the first contract was reports for six months tops.

It's awesome to watch 91/92 WCW on the Network and see him team with guys like Barry Windham and Ricky Steamboat in great matches and for him to still be competing at a high level today over 20 years later.

Agreed, I mean both of them had there issues with that and once they got off of that both gotten better.

I think what people forget more than that is that he was pretty killer on the run he had prior to this current one.

Regular Cody is boring as hell. If anything Goldust gave Cody a new lease on WWE life.

If they'd have kept the World Heavyweight Title around, I would have loved for him to get a Christian ECW title-esque run with it.
