I agree with a lot of the sentiment here. The past few years EC has taken much of the excitement out of the Royal Rumble for me, since it feels like the result of that match isn't as critical as it was in the past. So much can still change before WrestleMania.
It also pushes the booking into a logical black hole whereby the guy who is now #1 contender doesn't get a shot at the next PPV, whilst five guys who failed to win the RR suddenly leapfrog into title contention. The implication, often backed up by commentary, is that having your title shot at WrestleMania is more prestigious, somehow more desirable than getting your hands on the title itself, which in my mind devalues the championship just a little bit.
Having grown up in the era of long-term feud and booking playing out at WrestleMania I HATE the idea that random guys can be thrown together for the MAIN EVENT just one month prior. I know there's an excitement that someone could win the title out of leftfield at EC, but I personally prefer the pay-off of a long and thought-out storyline culminating at WM.
Move Elimination Chamber!!!

I concur, it would make sense to move the Elimination Chamber. I'd actually just have it as the main event at Survivor Series every year.
