Season 3 wasn't necessarily great, but I think it's because it was a shorter season, so the episodes that stunk really managed to stand out more than they normally would. Plus the season finale really needed to be a two parter for what they were doing.
But, uh... yeah, might be off topic for this topic. >_>

Then, maybe skip that one and watch The Wire instead...or Mad Men...or Breaking Bad...or the Sopranos...or Fargo...or Sherlock...or Silicon Valley...or True Detective...or the myriad other shows that are well written, well acted and made for people other than schoolchildren. I get that there's a lot of crap TV out there made for adults, but there's a helluva lot that isn't. I feel like both sides of this argument are being a little too black and white. There are some smart, well-written shows that are primarily targeted at children. There are also poorly written ones, or ones that skew too young to be smart in the way that appeals to adults. And there are smart, well-written shows that are primarily targeted at adults. There are also schlocky, awful shows targeted at adults. I don't see what's wrong with enjoying both, or exclusively one or the other. Who cares? I think there's also the fact that there's also the sad reality that you better love cop or crime shows, because that's about all you can get with tv drama without shelling out money for a subscription based service, that or be content to watch reruns of Mad Men over and over and over again. The good talent is heavily concentrated in that one particular setting. And while those shows may be good, having written a lot of stories on the real stuff, the fictionalized stuff is hard for me to get into. Comedy leaves a few more options open, but that has it's own problems as creators are more interested in squeezing as many seasons out as opposed to letting the joke end before it gets too stale. If there's one thing British tv has right, it's that they are willing to let a show die and bring it back if they have new jokes, rather than slog through hoping they strike gold amid every increasing piles of shit. And it's a pity that animation is looked down on so much in this country as the exclusive domain of kids, even the "adult" cartoons, because live action television has a lot of limits in terms of style that animation really doesn't.

It loses points for being Flash animated. And Canadian. Any show that shares at least three qualities with Johnny Test can't be worth watching. No, sir, uh-uh. :X Johnny Test was the shit and I will fight anyone who disagrees.

I just got really irritated by obnoxious fans. The ponyfication of EVERYTHING on KYM pisses me off to no end. oh yes.I enjoyed the show, not gonna lie.But i HATE how everything has to be ponified, mainly on the Know Your Meme website.Gee,not everything needs to be pony.

I'm not a fan myself but everytime I come across those ponies from the show I find it adorable. I'm sure there are bronies who are normal but truth be told all the bronies I've met well were not normal and they will shove the show unto anything imaginable.

I'm probably talking out of my ass (*ffrrrpp, ffrrrpp*) here, but:
My Little Pony is primarilly aimed at little girls, right? A good deal of the adult fans are mid-20 to early-30, no? There are many male adult fans, Bronies.
Now, I seriously doubt that most of the Bronies watched the show as kids, so there is no nostalgia factor, and trying to relive your childhood as someone who, say, watched and played with GI Joe figures as a kid, and now watches and collects current action figures and stuff. I would also imigine that there is no connection by watching with their kids are small relatives and then being hooked. They, the Bronies, just started watching, found they liked it and continue to do so, all while some are being very vocal about it.
I think you'd have to be very naive if you don't get why that is outside of many people's comfort zone. There's nothing wrong with watching a children's cartoon aimed at whoever, but in a lot of people's perception it is.
I don't know, I try to be open-minded and non-judgemental in life, but I think it's a bit of a peculiar interest, to be honest. Of course, there is also the very outspoken, outlandish fans, who exist in any fandom I might add, who exhibit some sort of martyr complex, and those type of fans are annoying, whatever fandom they belong to.
Again, I have no facts to confirm my claims, but that's how I see things. Apologies if anyone's feelings were hurt. That was not my intention.

You're right, I didn't watch MLP when I was younger. Many bronies probably didn't either. There are exceptions, of course. I've met a few that did, and have been collectors of the toys since the 80's. For me personally, it's not so much trying to relive my childhood, I just hold a strong adversion to the concept of "growing up". Although despite this, I'm far more mature than a lot of people in my own family claim me to be. I just like so-called childish things, and there's nothing wrong with that. Most of my own friends don't understand that, but they don't judge me for it or anything. I use it as a form of escape from reality for a while each day. Far less harmless than what most people with depression/anxiety do, I think... but that's just my own personal example, and everyone is different.

I remember watching some of G1 as a kid, mainly because I more vividly remember the Glowfriends and Potato Head kids segments.

it was the forcing down the throat of the fandom i hated pony pictures everywhere across the internet. When all it is ponys or not is a f***ing tv show show a lot of people like breaking bad but you dont see nearly as many pictures of that over the internet used as avatars or other stuff.
Also i have watched the first series of the show and it is a good show Just stop posting it everywhere and could a lot of you just admit you wanna f*** the ponies?

I think the moment someone gets upset over an abundance of something like inoffensive avatars, is the moment that person needs to step away from the internet and chill.

The show's not bad. Not exactly my thing, but I can see where people can relate to it and enjoy it. And honestly, 99 percent of the fandom that I've come across online (here included) have been some pretty cool people, with legit reasons about how the show resonates with them. Now, the fans that I've happened to come across in real life? Creepy as f***, but I think it's the minority of MLP fans that are like that. So, y'all are cool with me.
