At least we outlasted the racism thread. Unless someone in here is a equinophobe. Proud of it. Mr. Ed ran up my phone bill damnit You're an anti-equinite! Sure, it starts with a few jokes here and there. Next thing you know, you'll be saying they should have their own stables.

That last statement comes off as really condescending. What's condescending about that? I'm a 32-year-old male. I take no interest in programs that are geared towards children, just as I don't read the Cosmos that my girlfriend leaves in our bathroom. They're not for me and they don't speak to me. Your tone is really condescending. Cartoons are for anyone that wants to watch them, regardless of age. Creators are very adamant about that.

By all means, watch them. I'm not stopping you from that, nor do I desire to dictate what you or anybody else finds enjoyable. Your tastes are your tastes and they're unique to what you do or don't like. Maybe I'd love MLP or Naruto or any other program of that ilk, but I really don't have any desire to watch it because I'd rather spend my TV-watching time viewing something that speaks to me. I don't mean to come off as an asshole and I apologize to you or anybody else if you've been offended by my tone.

it was the forcing down the throat of the fandom i hated pony pictures everywhere across the internet. When all it is ponys or not is a f***ing tv show show a lot of people like breaking bad but you dont see nearly as many pictures of that over the internet used as avatars or other stuff. Also i have watched the first series of the show and it is a good show Just stop posting it everywhere and could a lot of you just admit you wanna f*** the ponies? Please keep YouTube comment over on YouTube. On a serious note, this has been a nice thread so far, especially considering the history just on here between MLP fans and non-fans is rocky, never mind the rest of the 'net. Please do not come at anyone with this attitude of hostility again. To be blunt If the fact that I have a Pony avatar and sig annoys you.. Tough shit I'm not going to change it just to please you. On to you, I have seen your posts over the last few days, wishing this thread to f***ing die or to f*** off multiple times. Well, let me be frank about this, your attitude absolutely sucks. As I noted above, this has been a mostly civil thread allowing both sides of the issue to speak without problems which is rare. Why that needs to go away I do not know but I find that attitude disturbing. On top of that, posting in this thread far from helps you reach your goal of it dying/going away, nor does the attitude you exude in this post help keep things civil. So let me make this clear, if you want something to stay civil, don't act like a child. You want something to go away, ignore it and let it do that on it's own. I mean, not to pile on here, but you've been whining as if everyone's just been complaining about Ponies when this has been remarkably civil, possibly the most civil pony related thread outside the main one on this board. Really, you're not helping the stereotype of MLP fans being martyrs for attention, which makes you look a bit daft.

I think there are about 10 cartoons on today that deserve the love that MLP gets.

The moment someone decides they or other people are too old for something, they've died a little inside. Kinda sad, really. I'm 31. I will say Kamen Rider Gaim is the best damn thing on TV anywhere right now ahead of most so-called "adult" programming.

It loses points for being Flash animated. And Canadian. Any show that shares at least three qualities with Johnny Test can't be worth watching. No, sir, uh-uh. :X Johnny Test was the shit and I will fight anyone who disagrees. Hmph. Beating you won't give Johnny Test better animation or voice acting but it'll be one less cartoon infidel to worry about!

All of the talking points I was gonna' bring up (the obnoxious vocal minority, the sexualization/masculinization of the show) have already been brought up, so instead I'll ask: which Brony documentary were ya'll talking about a few pages back? Because there's three that I can recall. There's Friendship is Magic, which is available on YouTube and showcased a bunch of weird and broken people on both sides of the fence, the John de Lancie one, and the Ashleigh Ball one.

OK, I want to talk about something that has come up a bit here: First of all, I admit that I feel attracted to some of the characters on the show. How do I live with that? It is just a fraction of my normal attitude towards women in general. I am not somepony who only feels attracted to the perfect ten, but to some women most people would think ugly. For example, I found Angelina Love attractive when everyone else was saying what a butterface she was. Or liking Tamara Chambers (the current NC skit chick) although she is something most people would not find attractive. What I want to say is, I find women attractive where I have encountered other people finding the same women ugly, unattractive and what not. What does this have to do with ponies then? This personality trait of mine actually goes farther in that when I encounter a female person, be it fictional or non-fictional, that has a great personality or character I become attracted to it, no matter the form it has. I honestly believe that I could fall in love with an alien, a formless entity or a transgender girl if that female had a great personality because that is what attracts me. And I just so happenend to be attracted to a character on a show that just happens to have the form of a colored equine. Does that mean I feel attracted to animals? Hell no, why would I be attracted to a beast that reacts based on instinct. TBH I find it no different than being attracted to Klingon women etc. who are also not exactly your average humans. If that was the only thing I was attracted to, then yeah, I would find it disturbing. But seeing as I find a multitude of other female forms attractive as well, I don't see the problem. Now, I am not good with words and all, so I hope my point could get across. And if you have a problem with it, tough luck. But I don't aim to please.

For me, it is what it is. A surprisingly decent cartoon show over which I've gotten to know some other people on the board. And beyond running a simulated racing league in a NASCAR game featuring cars painted up in the colours of the characters, I don't consider myself all that obsessed with it.

Yeah, not going to touch the rest of this, but you do realise that comparing a trans female to aliens/formless entities as an 'out there' concept seems really dodgy, right?

I know you already apologized for the tone and that's cool. Just wanted to point out how it came off as such.

Johnny Test does suck donkey ass, but its Canadian-ness doesn't have anything to do with it. They did give us The Raccoons.
