I love it except for Sandow. I think this is the one time where Alex Riley wrestling would make sense. Have them make-up or not even explain it and just let Riley job for him like good ol' times, they look enough alike anyways. I agree with this, both objectively and as a huge fan. Sandow was fine as a one off as a continuation of his own "random dress up" gimmick, but not as Miz's permanent stunt double. I agree with the Riley thing because I think he would've needed this role more than Sandow, since Sandow would still be doing other things without Miz. Although I think Riley's improved enough that he should put on more competitive efforts than he did during his first run with Miz and not just be a bump/finisher dummy. Plus I think That would be the one thing that would make me turn around on Miz's Hollywood gimmick.

just hate the lack of continuity of the commentary team. Cole thinks Miz is full of himself, and JBL loves the guy. I really don't mind that, because it underscores how much the three characters have changed over the years, and it feels like character development. Cole has been humbled many times since the Heel Cole ended, so of course he would see Hollywood Miz in a different light. JBL hated Miz when he was a rookie, but the circumstances have changed now that Miz is a former champion and a proven commodity.

All he needs to do is get his name tattooed across his chest

Surely the only answer for a proper Miz look-a-like is Vader's son? The one who teamed with Corey Graves in FCW/early days of NXT.

Sandow is also gold here. Him yelling "Action" before he went in was hysterical. That's how I start everything, by ripping my pants off and shouting "ACTION!"

I like it and I'm a huge Miz detractor.
Him trying to be serious irritates me in the wrong way. This irritates me the right way.

he needs to start signing autographs to give to his defeated opponent.
I have no idea why Miz hasn't been doing this gimmick the whole time.

Miz is a movie star, he's no longer clutching to that "reality show star" stigma anymore - not in a day and time where anybody with a decent look gets put on TV doing something stupid. Movies are a big step up. They don't put just ANYBODY onto film, that stuff costs money. Somebody took the time and energy to think, "This guy can be a good film star. Let's put money behind him."
That, and not having Morrison with him, helps tremendously. When Miz would talk about what a big star he was, you laughed at him. "Who is this twerp saying he's a big star?" Morrison had the look, the body and the blase "I'm better than you" attitude he was going to be a bigger deal than monkey faced-Miz.
You still want to punch him in the face for talking too much, but now he has Hollywood credentials behind him. Doesn't matter if he only sold 4 tickets, that's 4 more than you'll ever sell, and that's what makes this character work. Turning a molehill into mountains, that's what an arrogant heel does.

I refuse to appreciate him because he is ripping off one of my caws right down to the stunt double -_-

I was ambivalent to it at first since it was just him doing Tyler Breeze's shtick, but then he added the Johnny Cage suit, Damien Mizdow, and the make-up artist and I'm just buying into it completely.
It's nice to actually like something Miz is doing again. I haven't felt like this since he ripped off the Jericho/Goldberg feud back in 2009.

I'm one of the few Miz fans anyway but I'm so glad to see how this has rejuvenated his career. It makes the best use of his skills

I like the idea of Miz having a small posse with him at all times.

I think it's working because they're going all the way with it now. When he first returned, he was just heel Miz with sunglasses. But I feel around Summerslam is where the gimmick kicked into high gear. Wearing that ridiculous jacket/scarf thing, now adding a stunt double and makeup artist. It works. I wish they'd use jobbers more because him signing autographs to them after he beats them would be gold.

It doesn't take away the three years or so of horrible booking, but it's a start.

About a month ago, some jerk was talking trash so I challenged him to a money match in WWE All-Stars. I picked Miz, he picked Punk, and I beat him in short order 5-0.
After it was over, I declared, "The Moneymaker wins another money match!"

This is exactly where Miz's character should be. The dumb face turn was necessary only to make the heel run very fresh and exciting once more.

I like the idea of Miz having a small posse with him at all times. I said it in the Raw thread, but he needs an Ari Gold type agent with him.

I still think Miz's face turn could have worked. His WWE Title run was booked like a face run. He was the childhood fan that busted his ass to get to the WWE, and achieved the boyhood dream when he won the WWE Championship. He even successfully defended the title at WrestleMania.
Only thing is his character was a total asshole.
