I'm just glad I'm not 23 anymore. Or 11. Wait... What the hell happens when you're 23?! I just turned 23 yesterday! Is it all downhill from here?! Oh God... Does nobody like you when you're 23?!

Turning 30 wasn't a big thing for me. I enjoyed my week long birthday celebration, but being 30 didn't feel much different from being in my late twenties. I was happy to be 30 because I was one more years removed from crappy things in my life like my quarter life crisis that came too early.

[ {Spoiler}Honestly, it's known as by far the roughest year of your twenties. You're old enough to feel the burden of the responsibilities of adulthood without the comfort and satisfaction they usually arrive with. It's when you first realize how much younger other adults are than you (18-year-olds are now a whole five years younger than you) but you're surrounded by adults who have the longer experience and tenure in pretty much everything so there's something of an isolation going on. It's the age your friends start to move away, both physically and personally depending on their life paths, and things can just feel overwhelming. There's still plenty of great memories and good times to be had, my best advice is to just always be kind to people and really consider others' time and property and you'll be fine. Everyone else who is 23 is going through the same stress, frustration and state of panic. Just hang in there, and focus on what you can do for yourself and others.

Can confirm. It was truly the year where I felt truly focused and practically got my shit together (even though I already had my shit together) to improve myself and get better. I haven't hustled so hard since I was 17. But honestly it hasn't been rough for me. Last year was really f***ing rough on me. I felt more of a burden and emptiness to achieve goals this year but honestly it's been a smooth ride. Like when you sort of realize that you're in your prime years. You've been an adult long enough to start to get it, you're in prime physical strength, you've already have a feel of accomplishment of what you've done, you're finally that older guy for younger girls and that right age for older girls, you have a better understanding of your skill set and what you want to do in life, it's things like that. It's like being 18 all over again but with more flexibility and knowledge and advantages.

I turned 30 last year. Turned 31 a week ago yesterday.
It didn't really seem all that earth-shattering to me. Actually I've felt that way about my birthday for a few years now, that it's just another day.

I'm 28 and I just got my life on track LAST YEAR. Thirty isn't scary to me. Thirty is friggin' exciting. It's going to be an incredible decade for me. It's funny how my goals changed too. I went from "Make enough money to survive comfortably" to "Build a family and career." Shame I started late, but I'll make it work.
God, anything is better than goddamn 23.

I wish I could be 23 again. I'm 27 and have very little to show for it.

Being 30 isn't that bad, it's no different than any other age.
Being 30 and being an undergraduate in college, now that's weird.

I'm just 10 days away from turning 30. You know what?.. Bring it on. I see little point in being scared of the future, You can't escape it so just enjoy the now while you can

That's really not a late start. 27 is the year people tend to realize what they want to do and "make their move." I always here those three words "make my move" or "made my move" when people discuss 27, so I think you're comfortably in the majority on that one.

I turn 30 in about two and a half years. Not really dreading it, it doesn't matter. Everyone still thinks I'm fourteen anyway. Brat down the street asked my mother once about me and clarified who she meant by describing me as "that girl who looks like a teenager but really isn't".

At first I hated it because as soon as you do you're closer to 40 than 20. Now I long for those days because I'm closer to 40 than 30. Fact is life post college has been a speedball of a blur and before we know it we'll all be dead. Glad I could be a ray of sunshine here.

I'll be 30 in about eight days. It might as well be the new 25 for a variety of reasons, and I'm not about to turn down birthday swag.

I'm turning 30 next Friday. I'm making a weekend celebration out of it.
Maybe as a signing off of my stupid 20s that were fun, but stupid. So, I guess I did it right.

Been in my 30s a few years now. Turning 30 didn't bug me as much as turning 25 did, because by the time I hit 30 I realized that there was nothing that could be done to fight it.
And here's some advice my dad gave me: "You can get older or die. Those are literally your two options".
