Overeem says "I was not out" during his post-fight interview, not realizing that is completely irrelevant to the end of the fight where he was getting punched multiple times in the head and moving turtle slow in response.

Intelligently defending yourself is the golden rule in mma, if you can't do it, it doesn't matter if you're out or not, Overeem knows it, it's just that damn pride talking, making excuses. Whoa nice for Jacare to avenge that loss, him vs Rockhold sounds logical now.

I have a theory.
Overeem still thinks he's in K1.
Other than the Bigfoot loss. Whenever he gets knocked down, he just sort of sits there, then stands up when the ref pulls off the guy punching him. I think he still thinks he has a 10 count to get back in the fight.

Man, what a bust Overeem has been. It's a shame his insane testosterone levels were able to take advantage of Brock's diverticulitis, and end his career.
I mean I'm glad we got Brock back in rasslin too; but just for Alistair to be the one to close the door sucks.

What makes Overeem losing even worse this time was he was able to break Rothwell's arm and still finds a way to lose

Badr Hari lost to Overeem of all people.

Yeah but Hari avenged that lost, Hari is considered one of the top kickboxers of all time. Maybe Overeem should start training his other skills instead of just focusing only on kickboxing, that's it if dana hasn't fired him yet.

Yeah, not a fan of him, but if him beating Brock is what got him back to kicking ass in the 'E, I can come to terms with it. Anyway, it's a good thing I'm not a gambling man, seeing as I got one prediction right.

Well it could be argued that Badr Hari took Overeem lightly in their first fight because in their rematch Hari beat Overeem with little trouble. Reem should just retire, too many f***ing concussions, poor guy, after he defeated Brock, he became the biggest celebrity on his own mind, leaving Golden Glory was his biggest mistake ever. Well I think what makes Overeem throwing them the bus even worse is according to Bus Rutten GG had policy that meant if a promotion wanted to use some of their top fighters such as Semmy Schilt on event they would to have allow some of their lower tier ones to fight as well, which helped Overeem quite a bit when he was struggling with his career during his 205 days.

Oh golden glory is totally shady, you're right man, Zuffa fired the whole GG team from Strikeforce because of that, Overeem was let go with Marloes Coennen to name a few, kinda like when the ufc fired the whole aka fighters for one day before it all got sorted out. It's just that before leaving GG Overeem was the big dog there, he didn't need to worry of his coaches focusing their attention on other top fighters, he had a camp kinda like Mayweather or Tyson, where they just brought sparring partners and focused everything on Alistair, once he lost that and went to the Blackzillians....
