K, this is an old idea that I've had for a long time, obviously outdated but it still could have been fun. For those who are unaware, in addition to being zombie hot, Daffney had a character she sometimes used on the indy's called Shark Girl. The description says it all-she was a female version of Shark Boy, and even teamed with him a few times. Silly, but still, I think she was freaking adorable
And given Shark Boy being a staple of TNA for a few years, I could not help but wish TNA had had Daffney use her Shark Girl character alongside him and Curry Man at least a few times. And that got the creative juices flowing. So here is the scenario I concocted:
Stone Cold Shark Boy and Curry Man start feuding with the Rock n' Rave Infection. The feud is sparked when Curry Man, the dancing party animal, becomes enamored of Christy Hemme. Christy, being a heel at the time, is perfectly happy to manipulate his feelings in order for her team to pick up wins. So we'd get backstage vids of Christy flirting with Curry Man and his over-exaggerated responses, and then during the ring action she would distract him to cost him the win. Eventually this would lead to Christy breaking the spicy guy's heart in the ring, rejecting him in cold hearted style as she struts off with her team.
The next week there is a rematch, and Curry Man is obviously still down in the dumps over his heartbreak. There is a backstage interview where he just can't act his usual, jovial self; he stands with his head hanging and refusing to speak even as Stone Cold Shark Boy cuts a promo against their opponents. Finally, Shark Boy has enough and berates his partner, telling him to stop moping over Christy Hemme because "There's other fish in the sea!" When its time for ring action, Curry Man's music hits but rather than his usual dancing entrance he just trudges to the ring, looking totally un-enthused. The match ends by a DQ when Hemme interferes, and then Hoyt and Rave hold Curry Man prone as Hemme taunts him to his face. The torment gets interrupted by Shark Girl, making her first appearance as she runs to the ring to nail Hemme and toss her out. The distraction allows Shark Boy and Curry Man to turn the tide, tossing Hoyt and Rave out as well. Schiavone and Don West stammer in disbelief, with Schiavone blurting "I never would have thought I'd see a...a Shark Girl!" Just as the heroes are about to celebrate Shark Girl waggles a finger, telling them wait. She holds a hand to the side of her head, Curry Man's music hits, and she launches into his trademark dance. Curry Man does a double take, hands clutched over his heart, and then enthusiastically joins in as Don West chuckles "I think that Curry Man is a little taken with Shark Girl!" This leads us to an eventual mixed tag match pitting The Rock n' Rave Infection with Christy against Shark Boy, Shark Girl, and Curry Man-the highlight of which is Hemme attempting to use her feminine wilds to distract Curry Man once again, but to no effect since the king of spice's heart belongs to the finned female.
Hey, I think it would have made a fun comedy feud.
