Thought this might be a fun thread. I know I used to make small $5 bets with friends on who would win certain matches to make things more interesting. Knowing how predictable pro wrestling is sometimes works to your advantage, but sometimes those predictable odds backfire. Of course if it's not a huge angle the result could go either way, and then you spend a few matches trading the same $5 back and forth. So? Am I alone here?

Yeah, my friends and I would occasionally bet $1 per match when we were kids.

When I was a kid we'd draw numbers for The Royal Rumble. Think it was 2 bucks per number. Made the countdown for the next entrant awesome.

The only bet I ever made with someone on any kind of fight was when the UFC did their first show in Canada. I bet someone that a Canadian fighter (anyone) would walk to the Octagon to "Tom Sawyer".
I lost.

Who do you think we are? Farmers from Iowa?
No, seriously, the only time I did that was at a local bar we use to gather in to watch WWE PPVs. At Rumble time, we paid 2$ to the bar owner to buy the number of the entrant we thought would win the Rumble. Those who'd correctly picked the winning number of the entrant would split the jackpot. It made for some awkward and hilarious moments.
As far as I can remember, I won once with a couple of other guys.

I know some people who are...well...let's say that it's still real to them, dammit. So the Wednesday before SummerSlam,I offered a bet.
Me:"Brock's gonna kill Cena." Him: "NUH-UH! Cayn't (the word 'can't with a long a sound) NOBODY beat Cena!" Me: "Yeah? I'd bet my CAR Cena gets his ass handed to him." Him: "You're on!" Me: "Well..what do I get if I win?" Him: "Hunnert." (his speak for one hundred dollars) Me: "Make it 2 and you got a deal." Him: "...'kay."
What a joy it was having him over for SS and just watching his face during the match. I had to drive him to the ATM to get my money, but it was worth it.

I had a bet with my brother over the Cena vs. Brock match at SummerSlam. If Cena won, I got one of his wrestling DVD's and if Brock won, he got one of mine. I was rather fortunate that I managed to pick up a Mick Foley DVD on the cheap the day before SummerSlam to prepare for the slim chance Brock would win.

I put $1 on Brock beating Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30. My solid gold yacht is too heavy for the water, so I just leave it out the front of my solid gold mansion and next to my rocket car.

Lost a dollar at WM 29 because I predicted a Cena heel turn.

I do all the time. Pretty much every betting firm in England offer odds on WWE PPV matches.

I bet that CM Punk would beat Rock at the Rumble. Was convinced Brock would cost him the match to set up the Mania match which was rumoured.

There was a big debate when none of our picks won but the guy whose pick lasted longest argued that he should win the pot since his guy outlasted ours.

I actually bet lunch during Wrestlemania 29 as to which match would have the Spanish Announce Table broken.
I picked Brock Lesnar vs. HHH whereas my friend picked Undertaker vs. CM Punk. Those of you that remember those two matches will know that Punk and Taker did a table spot, but the table didn't break. I was going to cede the bet to him, but not until Brock vs. Hunter happened. And sure enough, Brock just belly-to-bellies HHH through the Spanish table like nothing ever happened.
It was a controversial victory, but I still took it.

No, but I wish I had bet the farm on Lesnar early on at this year's Mania. The odds were huge right up until a couple of hours before the show started. Could have made a killing.
