Ben Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms yo Word, bitch! Phantoms like a motherf***er! Wait are we talking about The Phantom with Billy Zane? BTW the movie both had young Penelope Anna Miller, young Catherine Zeta Jones, and an over the top Treat Williams....not to mention pre-Shang Tsung Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa.

The little boy who played Danny Torrance in The Shining didn't know he was in a horror movie until years later. Likewise with Linda Blair in The Exorcist. I'm skeptical on The Exorcist. The make-up alone should have tipped her off. Yeah, there's no way that's true.

In Star Wars 1 only one of the Storm-Troopers remembers to correctly bang his head when entering the room, the other two storm-troopers glide into the room unscathed.
The inspiration for the line "You're Gonna need a bigger boat" came from a boat salesman who was trying to sell Stephen Speilberg a boat, to go boating in.
Upon seeing Dustin Hoffman loafing around doing the crossword before a big running scene in the movie "Marathon Man", Laurence Olivier commented "Try method acting dear boy, much more honourable".
The man from the Crying Game is actually a woman!
Sean Connery is actually wearing a wig for his appearance in the first 8 Bond movies! And a "Roger Moore Halloween Mask" for the next 8.
Morgan Freeman's line "Mabye it's because I'm Irish" from the Shawshank Redemption is an in-joke. In Stephen King's novel Red is Irish, however Morgan Freeman couldn't do the accent and is allergic to Guiness.
Sam Raimi has managed to get his lucky Oldsmobile Delta 88 in every one of his movies, however his decision to cast the car as Spider-man in what would have been the 4th Spider-man movie led to a disagreement with Sony that caused the reins to be handed to Mark Webb.

The movie Cool World was originally supposed to be the first ever animated horror movie. The original concept revolved around an animated woman and a live action man sleeping together and producing a half-live, half-animated daughter who is tormented by her own existence and sets out for revenge on the parents who abandoned her.

Elvis Presley and Charles Bronson did a movie together called Kid Galahad (1962) They both competed for the interests of the female co-star of the film. At one point, Bronson made fun of Presley's "karate" skills, challenging The King to break a board. So Presley had a worker go get one and broke it with one chop while the rest of the cast clapped. Bronson, frustrated, had them get another board and, after amping himself up, punched his board so hard that he broke one of his knuckles...but did not break the wood. He was found cursing on the other side of the set later on. Elvis got the girl.`

Lily Tomlin was originally cast to play Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. She dropped out to take a role in Robert Altman's Nashville, taking over the role meant for Louise Fletcher. Fletcher left Nashville due to a falling out with Altman. She would go on to be cast to replace Tomlin as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Fletcher would win the Academy Award for Best Actress for this performance. Tomlin was nominated for Nashville, but it was in the Supporting category and not in competition with Fletcher.

Rise of a Nation, a continuation of the influential and infamously racist Birth of a Nation film was the first film sequel, but has since been considered lost. Another interesting fact: Nation (the first one, not the sequel) was so over-budget, the price of a ticket sold for a then-unheard-of $2. Adjusted for inflation, a ticket would cost $46.63 today.

Jim Brooks wanted the "Kamp Krusty" episode of the Simpsons to be the feature, in the end the idea was dropped when the writers strained to fill 20 minutes and even added verses to the Kamp Krusty song and used still photographs at the end to get it to running time. The music in the Big Lebowski always has a source, for instance in the dream sequence when Dylan's "the Man in Me" is played over the dream, it's revealed to be coming from the Dude's walkman. Every image Dude sees in the "Gutterballs" dream of his shown in the background before in other scenes, which is where the Dude saw the images to dream about. (I hope that makes sense). I thought The Dude was listening to bowling when he fell asleep. The reverse side is Dylan and the other is the bowling, uh, meet or match or game....

80's/90's porn stars Buck Adams (RIP) and Amber Lynn were brother and sister. They didn't tell anyone until they were scheduled to 'work together' in a movie.

Speaking of siblings...
The film Kickboxing Academy is the debut of Chyler Leigh. Her love interest is played by her real life brother. They kiss and make-out in the movie.
Similarly...
In the cult movie Freaks, Hans and Frieda are played by real life siblings Harry and Daisy Earles. The romance of these characters is not a major part of the movie and there are no scenes in which they kiss or embrace each other.

I thought The Dude was listening to bowling when he fell asleep. The reverse side is Dylan and the other is the bowling, uh, meet or match or game.... The Sony Auto-Reverse Walkman features before and after The Dude's magic carpet acid flashback caused by a swift punch to the head by one of Maude's goons. The cassette tape, which appears to have been a customized recorded tape by The Dude, contains two clealy labeled sides: Side A : Venice Beach League Playoffs 1987 Side B: Bob Side A can be heard before the flashback, we hear bowling alley sound effects like the ball rolling followed by the pins falling down. Before each sound of the pins falling we see The Dude's wrist revolve mimicking the action of throwing a ball. Side B, labeled simply Bob, refers to Bob Dylan and can be heard as soon as we enter the flashback with Bob Dylan's "The Man In Me". The song continues until we return to reality and The Dude is laying on the bare hard wood floor of his Venice Beach home. Although it does not appear on screen, The Dude is wearing headphones and can be assumed to using the same Walkman. We can hear Elvis Costello's "My Mood Swings" is playing in his headset.

The first movie made about the Titanic disaster was called Saved From The Titanic and released on May 15 1912, a month after the actual sinking and starred actress Dorothy Gibson, who really did survive the Titanic - she even wore the exact some clothes. This ended up being her last film and is considered lost.
