Sad to see Orndorff doing so badly here. Such an underrated wrestler and star in general. Orndorff in his prime could easily fit in now.

Plus he made it to main events, which Rude and Perfect never really did, so there's always mythology about the "almost" guys. Orndorff's work with Hogan is superb.

I never knew any of Orndorff's work, and Rick Rude's work was before my time, so I have to go with Curt Hennig.

If you don't know any of Orndorff's work, you should go watch him in '84 and his feud with Hogan in '85.
I can't help but think that Hennig is getting so many votes just because Mr. Perfect is the one people are most familiar with.

Curt was the most versatile. He was great in the ring, looked great on a poster and would be good on a chat show to promote something. And he has two Hasbro figures.

Rude. He'd put the male and female asses in the seats. I wish Andre was an option as he'd be perfect. You know you'll have a true face star if he's able to earn the respect of Andre to the point where Andre's willing to put him over. But out of the 3 you gave me a choice out of I'd take Rude because the women not just the men would come to see Rude just like Shawn Micheals.

Rick Rude is so f***ing fantastic that I can't really see picking anyone else, especially since you made it about heels. Orndorff was great, and Hennig was also a great talent, but Rick Rude was a star. He had, for my money, the best body in wrestling, his promos were on point, he was damn good in the ring, and he's the kind of guy who sweathogs would pay to see get his ass kicked.

Here is why I picked Rick Rude.
Paul Orndorff was a great wrestler and had a fantastic look. If I could get a good manager to do the talking he would be hard to follow. But I feel he wouldn't look as good on the posters and on a tv schedule as Rude.
Curt Hennig is great, but he is great as Mr Perfect. You wouldn't be allowed to use that name. So that rules him out. In WCW he was pretty forgettable.
Rick Rude has just as much skill in the ring and has a great look. He is also the best promo guy of the 3. So he doesn't need a manager. I also think Rick Rude vs ..... would look better on the posters.

All three guys are people I could see building a promotion around. I went with Perfect just since I think he also would play a good face when needed, and even if I couldn't call him Mr. Perfect, he'd be as good as he'd be given room to be. You could hardly miss with any of them, though.

I have to chose the Perfect option between these three. The one who you know will be Wonderfully Ravishing every time they step into the ring. So of course I'm choosing Jim Duggan.

Curt Hennig, because you could just do more with him. The guy could work a great match with anybody, cut great heel promos, and if the need arose could do everything just as well as a babyface. As a heel he was hated because he believed he was the best and managed to become totally beloved playing the exact same character.
Rude is a close #2. I just always got the sense if his heel work got stale, there wasn't much to him that you could get behind as a face. The fans hated him because he was a despicable asshole who put them down... hard to believe he could get the fans behind him without having to totally retool his character.
In any case, a Rude vs. Hennig program for a world title would have been incredible.

Rick Rude. He is perfect as a bad guy.... Hennig could go either way. Orndorff would be 2nd, if only because of his robes.

Rude. All of them were great wrestlers, but Rude had the best character, and I like how he made a habit of wearing tights that were customized to suit the PPVs he wrestled on (or to antagonize the wrestler with whom he was feuding).
