I came into this fight thinking I'd watch a fight. Instead I saw Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana hug each other for 12 rounds. This fight was garbage.

Though I agree, it would be pretty hard to bite through a mouth piece, then through thick glove with enough force to cause the damage that Floyd was selling

even the f***ing interviewer is on floyd's side, asking why maidana bit him, when it looked imposible from the angle.

Shit like that is why Pacquiao/Mayweather will never happen. So much ducking in this sport.

Remember how outstanding Mayweather-Shane was in 2010 and how we thought that Mayweather was FINALLY going to start living up to his potential and give us great fight after great fight?
Seems so long ago.

Todd martin
Fight feels like such a waste of time. Contemplating just tuning out and going to my DVR recording of WSOF.

They're still pushing that Mayweather/Pacquiao fight? Who even cares at this point?

Boxing's not dead. There's plenty of great fighters and great matches still happening. Floyd's just become blockage in boxing's colon. Soon as he takes his first loss or bows out, we can go back to fighters proving themselves and having actual main events.

exactly, it's up to his pimp to force his hand or something, like there's no one left for him to fight, maybe Danny Garcia, but he's not well known.

Some thoughts;
Firstly I freely admit I'm not a boxing fan, That in mind if a good fight comes around I will see it, For example Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Marquez 4 was an incredibly entertaining fight.
This however was not, It was everything I hate about boxing rolled up into one match; Flopping injuries, Hugging for entire rounds, Jogging around with little stand up, Suspect officiating and weird card scores.
This match was an illustrative guide to why people have left the sport and gone to watching MMA.
More telling I think however was the interview with Thurman and Khan, I forget which one said, "I'm not sure myself how the rankings work I just know I've been number one for awhile". What kind of message does it send to fans who are confused about rankings and why X isn't fighting X when the fighters themselves are confused about it?
