Okay, here's how the last match ended:
The Rock comes in and gets into Faarooq's face, berating him for getting eliminated. Eventually, Faarooq gets pissed off and shoves The Rock. The Rock shoves him back. Faarooq somes The Rock again. A small shoving match breaks out. This allows Animal to take advantage as he clotheslines The Rock from behind, knocking him into Faarooq, who falls to the outside. Animal then rolls The Rock up into a pin. 1... 2... 3! And, the match is over! The Road Warriors have survived.
Match 4

Survivor: The Road Warriors (Hawk And Animal)
Okay, before we move on to 1998, let's look at the PPV's main event. Now, when people think about the 1997 Survivor Series, they sure as shit don't think about the traditional elimination tag matches. They think about the WWF Title Match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. A little backstory for those of you who've been living under a rock for the last 27 years:
In late 1997, Vince McMahon had a problem. He could no longer to afford Bret Hart's contract. To make matters worse, Bret was the WWF Champion, and he had taken an offer from WCW. So, Vince needed to get the title off of Bret. He wanted Bret to lose to Shawn Michaels at the Survivor Series, but since Bret and Shawn weren't the best of friends and Shawn had refused to lose the WWF Title to him at WrestleMania 13, Bret refused. After much talking, eventually everyone agreed to a DQ finish at the Survivor Series. However, since Vince was paranoid, especially since two years earlier, Alundra Blayze had taken the WWF's Women's Title with her to WCW and threw it in the garabage, he decided to screw Bret out of the title. Sure enough, at the end of the match, when Shawn put Bret into the sharpshooter, referee Earl Hebner called for the bell. Shawn Michaels was the WWF Champion. Bret Hart would smash up tables and cameras at ringside and leave for WCW. And, Vince McMahon would become the evil boss we've seen on TV for quite some time.
But, what if it didn't happen? What if things went as planned? I figured, just for fun, I'd run this little poll. Redo the WWF Title Match, screwjob or no screwjob! Have at it folks.
