I guess they are running out of stuff to talk about.
Pretty soon it will be 1 1/2 hours on the time Bobby Valentine wore a fake mustache in the dugout after getting ejected

Tonight's episode The Prince of Pennsylvania Jesse Vile October 20, 2015 An exploration of the turbulent relationship between Olympic wrestling brothers Mark and Dave Schultz and their eccentric benefactor, John du Pont, culminating in the murder of Dave by du Pont. I don't think they'll touch on anything that wasn't already discussed in "Foxcatcher", but at the same time, I was thoroughly underwhelmed by that movie, so maybe I'll like the way 30 for 30 tells the story.

I enjoyed it. To me, nothing beats first-hand accounts from people involved in the story

"The Prince of Pennsylvania" was fine, and it touched on John du Pont's overall mental deterioration more than "Foxcatcher" did, but it was still relatively unmemorable. By the time the next 30 for 30 rolls around, I'll probably already have forgotten about what even aired this week.

Trojan War disappointed me. It just stopped short.
1988 Notre Dame gets a 30 for 30 huh? Ok. How bout a 30 for 30 on the journey from the mythical national titles to the bowl alliance, bowl coalition and BCS? How bout that one? How bout one on college football conference realignment?

30 for 30 coming on the 1988 Notre Dame team under Lou Holtz. I'm actually mildly intrigued by this, largely because those Notre Dame teams of the 1980s have been the villains in so many 30 for 30s, so it'll be fascinating to see them wear the white hat for a change.

They wore white hats for Pony Excess. Yeah, there were comments that they didn't like the ND player running out of bounds instead of scoring a touchdown, but they were presented as white hats. They actually had compassion for the team that would have lost to high school teams, and knew that their 4th stringers would win by 5 touchdowns.

I'm still waiting for my Indycar Split episode, maybe when the 20th anniversary comes around in May.

so there's a documentary about the 94 Angel team but none about the Twins team of the same year? They had a just as improbable run with a kid as manager!

Tonights episode
The Gospel According to Mac Jim Podhoretz November 3, 2015
A look at how Bill McCartney mixed two religions -- college football and evangelical Christianity -- while serving as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes in the 1990s, a tenure that included a national championship.

Flair said the 30 for 30 thing is going to be a full show, and that they have filmed 12 hours of footage so far.

This is the one I circled as "can't miss" when the first episodes from volume 3 were unveiled. 30 for 30 in its six years has touched on a myriad of hot-button issues, including race, drugs, gambling, apartheid, murder, gender, physical handicaps, war, sexual orientation, AIDS, finances, fraud, politics, and the mob, but they've never touched on religion. The fact that it's a two-hour episode leads me to believe they're really going to tell the story, as opposed to the rush job that "Trojan War" and "The Prince of Pennsylvania" were. Also, 30 for 30s on college football tend to be the best in the series, so I expect this to be no different.
