*sorry if I'm missing a Mad Men thread didn't see it*
Am I alone in thinking that Pete is the most interesting character in the show? Just an amazing performance from the actor (and I wasn't easily a Vincent fan, his character in Angel almost destroyed the show). I love Don as a tragic pathetic superman, but I totally dig the evolution of Pete's character. Hated by his parents. Total prick. Fierce civil rights defender. Pathetic in certain seasons. Intelligent as hell. Lost a fight to Moriaty from Game of Shadows (not a trait, but cool scene).
I love this show, but I'm on Team Pete Cambell if I could photoshop one of those meme banners.

Don for the most part is dull His relationship with Betty and Megan bores me to death. All the secondary characters are more interesting.

Its a crime that Vincent Kartheiser hasn't gotten more awards for his performance as Campbell. The range of emotions I've felt towards him in a single episode is amazing, all while the character feels consistent and real. While Don even at his worst feels like a person the audience still wants to be, Pete is the guy we often are. Capable of public selfishness, prone to being the insufferable one on the in room, so feeling ill at ease in our skin, but still human and with sympathetic air. While I'll really want to punch him in the face, I can't hate Pete, if just for the knowledge that he hates himself more so than anyone else can.
In many ways he's an example of the Betty character done better; both of them trapped and beset by the difficult images of what type of woman/man they're supposed to be, but Pete still feels evolving while she comes across as stagnant.

I don't if he's the most interesting, but he's always been my favorite character to watch. Even in the first season when he was his most despicable.

Pete's aforementioned "Battle of the Twerps" is one of my favorite parts of the series. But for me, the scene where he shares his feelings for Peggy is just heartbreakingly amazing.

My favourite episode ending was season 7 episode 6 where the old gang were hanging out at the burger joint. It was like bringing back the old team. Kind of got me emotional.
Plus the transformation he goes through deserves Vincent some claps. For a vain acting world, he had a hairline shaved in.
