Lets face it, he is pretty awful in most aspects, no charisma, poor worker, not over as the company thinks he is and has now squashed Seth Rollins on Raw in a pointless match that made both Seth and Dean look pretty bad at the same time. Iv never really liked much about him, apart from his obvious good looks. Is their anything worth watching about Reigns? id personally drop him to the midcard as soon as possible, and perhaps release him, so he can get some seasoning abroad in Japan, because there is just no way he is ready to be in the spot he has now. Probably being a little ott with my thoughts but does anyone else just think he is just atrocious to watch at the moment?

Not quite as rotten as his naysayers would have you believe, but not nearly as good as his defenders would claim either.

Much better than the boring, mediocre charisma vacuum that is Seth Rollins.

That wasn't a squash. But yeah, I'm not really a Reigns fan.

Prepare for Reigns defenders and detractors.
I didn't like Reigns from the start of The Shield. He was playing that corny ass shit of the brooding "badass" that barely says a word and when he does he looks like a dumb ass.
Rollins and Reigns promo sucked on Raw. Rollins is a generic boring cocky heel who is also trying to come off as badass like Eddie and HBK. But the thing is he isn't good at it. Both need work on their weaknesses.

The problem is, they book him like Cena when they should book him like Warrior. Unless Warrior was carried, he was exposed pretty bad in longer matches wherein he had to stall and sell. Reigns may improve (I have no doubt he will in fact), but in the interim, they should just limit his TV matches to explosive squashes, and have him work on the road in longer matches with guys who aren't Randy Orton, and don't wrestle a style that eliminates all his strengths.

I read your whole post but all I got out of it in the end was that Lulu had some of the best cleavage in Final Fantasy. I just finished my first playthrough of that game in a long time last month. Those terrible PS2 renders did those boobs no justice.

This is it in a nutshell. He shouldn't be delivering promos and attempting to end lines in a Frank Miller comic antihero way, he should be a snarling Goldberg type who wants his opponents head. Stop pouting, go and spear that fool! He's not made to be out there exchanging arrogant hard man wit without the confident wordsmithery of an Austin or Rock, he's made to grunt, say he's going to kill someone and then put them into the mat. Same in matches, why is he playing the tuckered out babyface in a chinlock in every other match? Why have 20 minutes when you could have 8? Make fans forget that he doesn't have an inbetween game after his signature moves until he has learned to bring a few more in along with the ability to listen to the crowd to build up significant drama. He could be very very good, and he is a charismatic fellow, but they can't continue to push him where he's being shown up. It's destined to fail as no development in any area = stunts growth, wastes potential. I don't want another Sheamus experiment failure.

I didn't mind him in the Shield, but since the split and his getting a Cena-lite push, a little of him goes a long way.

Reigns isn't bad, he's just been thrown out in the middle of the ocean to swim to safely while he still uses those inflatable wing things. He's good at certain things and he clearly has tons of potential, but he is not remotely ready to main event yet. Someday, but not right now.

I don't find he's bad at all, just very inexperienced. He isn't bad in the ring, isn't horrible on the mic and has a great look and does have a star presence. Gotta give the guy time to grow.
Look at early Curt Hennig videos, he was very much the same. Lots of potential but it took him years before he finally became one of the best wrestlers to ever step in the ring. Give the guy time.
To me it feels like because he doesn't have Raven's promo skills, HBK's in-ring work, Jake's psychology and Hogan's look that according to some he sucks.
He has a long way to go but the hate on Reigns is way overblown and undeserved.

They're pushing him hard and fast despite the fact that he doesn't have the skill to justify being pushed hard and fast AT THIS TIME. They want him to be Cena's successor simply because of his look and who he's related to even though there are other, better workers who deserve pushes (not necessarily a main event push) before him.

Charisma ? Atleast he's getting cheered unlike Rollins who most of the time is getting crickets.

Pretty much. They seem to just be working on the fact that Cena wasn't ready for the main event scene when he stepped into it either and he grew on the job, but for everyone like him (and the first year or so of his main event run was largely abysmal) you have a Sheamus or a Drew McIntyre where they did improve after their monster pushes but by that point no one actually cared about them so they just stalled out.
