It's smarter than SVU. Though SVU's way more of a trainwreck so it's much easier to watch.

Nah. Stuff like Duck Dynasty, Honey Boo Boo, Something-Something Kardashian, half a dozen soap operas, and Two and a Half Men easily out-dumb Monday Night Raw.

It's not even the dumbest show on USA Network. Someone else knows best.

It's only to cater to their audience...

It's dumb because there is absolutely no consistent long-term planning. Thus, none of the storylines, taken as a whole, actually make any sense because they had never been carefully planned and prepared.
One of the reasons it's so difficult to watch.

One week before the PPV they gave away one of their top matches for free. THAT IS DUMB.

Whilst reality tv exists it doesn't crack the top ten. WWE at least offers morsals of promise and the occasional good matches and stories.

After the Attitude Era ended, and the WWE basically turned their programs into 2-3 hour variety shows, yes, it is the dumbest form of entertainment out there. At least reality shows, while scripted, give off the impression that what you're watching is real. The WWE flat out tells you what you're watching is fake, but a very small percentage of their roster knows how to act in a scripted environment, so it comes off porn-ish in its acting and nonsensical in its presentation (ex. why should we care about a wrestling match when 5 seconds later we are reminded that it's scripted). Nothing about it makes sense. Maybe that will change when Vince hands over the keys.

I think all the shows you mentioned have a consistent theme running through individual episodes, and sometimes over multiple episodes. The characters are also far more consistent in their motivations and attitude.

It's smarter than SVU. Though SVU's way more of a trainwreck so it's much easier to watch. Say what you will about it but SVU before Chris Meloni left was a pretty good show. It felt a lot more like Law & Order than actual Law & Order did in the late 90's/early 2000's. ...er, anyway, no. Raw is hardly the dumbest show around. Most reality programming is still significantly worse.

From what I hear, Under the Dome might give Raw a run for its money.

And you should care about the shows because you enjoy wrestling.

Not even close, haha. Seriously, if Raw is the dumbest thing you watch every week, you are doing pretty good. Watch Keepin' Up with the Kardashians or that shitty Chrisley show. You will be BEGGING for Raw.

Anyone who doesn't concede that WWE is low-brow, common-denominator entertainment is fooling themselves. Pro-wrestling, by nature, is. That being said, the writers won't be winning Emmys any time soon.
What I will say is that is not exactly "appointment television" anymore with the Network's RAW Reviews and Europeans uploading RAW onto Youtube the next day. (Thanks you guys! Cheers!)
