There isn't that much fresh talent in the indy's at the moment that tna could bring in with any decent momentum, EC3 has been great in his role and Bram has been ok from what i've seen in TNA so i don't mind TNA bringing in Brodus or other nxt guys. It will be interesting to see how they use Spud most likely he'll be filling the role Eric Young left now he's in the main event or he'll be in James Storm's x-division cult thing.

Going by Brodus's RF shoot, he and EC3 are really good friends so it's probably EC3 doing a solid for him.
And while Brodus isn't great by any means, he's big, and can do some power moves. Maybe this can lead to more opportunities for him (or maybe he'll improve a lot similar to what Tomko did when he came to TNA... though that had a lot to do with Japan)

Idk. At least as serious babyface, Spud gets to show that he's actually a good wrestler. How? he's shorter than most KO's and doesn't have any believable offense against guys like ... well ... everyone. He needs to be the guy that's a coward, who hides behind referees and wrestlers bigger than him while he still manages to get his ass kicked in a funny manor. He's gold in his role and I'm annoyed they're changing the act with him and Ethan. Even more so because Ethan isn't going solo like he should - he's brought in a bodyguard. That is regression for his current character. Spud could go to the X Division.

If they're suddenly, abruptly dropping Spud as EC3's sidekick, there's always one other possibility. {Spoiler}

I'm not exactly sure what that is trying to convey.

Indulge me for a moment, I'm going to armchair book.
Brodus should've debuted with Spud. It still breaks up one of TNA's best pairings, but to me it makes more sense than just dropping it for their latest shiny new toy. IMO, Spud works best when he's a cowardly heel hiding behind a bigger guy. For all his professions of friendship, it wouldn't be at all hard to have had Spud actually have been around the Carter clan because they were in power. Without Dixie looming over him with the power to fire him, Spud could easily drop EC3 like a (pun fully intended) hot potato and move on to the next guy.
There's still one problem with my idea: EC3 as a face wouldn't work either. Beyond the whole "being betrayed" bit, I don't think there's anything there for fans to sympathize with. Maybe it'd turn Spud face anyway due to EC3 being such a jerk to him.

I have a problem, that TNA keeps using WWE guys to go over the TNA guys, I'm not saying its gonna happen, but I just hope Brodus doesn't start beating everybody around. I actually like Brodus, his downfall was the same thing that happened to Albert, back in 2003 in Smackdown he was like the 4th monster or something, he just looked less impressive.
I hope that if he tries to return to the WWE, they don't use this against him.

Yeah, where are the spoilers? Did someone IN TNA leak the pic because there wasn't anyone in the crowd?

make him a trucker and call him Truckasaurus Have it turned out Spud died and had his mind put in an animatronic copy of Brodus's body, then make Dixie and the F-Rex.

I get that the indies don't have a lot of hot prospects right now, espacially compared to 5 or 10 years ago, but I think people are wondering why TNA would sign ANYONE right now given their situation. Maybe they signed a new TV deal, but it just seems like they shouldn't be spending any money they don't have to right now.

I actually hope TNA stays in business now just to see what the reaction will be in a year or two when the WWE finally decides to drop Bull Dempsey and he makes his surprise debut on Impact.

Xplosion match Crazy Steve defeated Robbie E.
Impact Show 1
*X-Division champion Samoa Joe defeated Austin Aries via submission. Great match.
*MVP with Kenny King defeated Mr. Anderson with Chris Melendez.
*EC3 with Rockstar Spud defeated Eric Young.
*Havoc and TNA Knockouts champion Gail Kim battled to a no contest. During the match, Kim came off the ring apron, was caught by Havoc and slammed to the outside floor mat. The referee threw up the X sign and Kim was brought to the back. Not sure if this was legit or not becuase of what happened during the next show.
The Hardys, The Wolves, and Team 3D set up a Full Metal Mayhem match (TLC) match which will be taped this FRIDAY and I wish I could make it.
Taping 2
*Manik with James Storm defeated Shark Boy. (Shell yeah!)
*Havok defeated Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title. Kim came back out with a heavily bandaged right shoulder. Not sure if that was an injury angle earlier setting up the title change or a legit injury which necessitated a title change.
*Madison Rayne, Angelina Love, and Taryn Terrell had a three way match. Rayne pinned Love.
*Sam Shaw lost to Bram in a Hardcore match.
*James Storm and The Great Sanada defeated Low Ki and Tigre Uno in a great match.
*EC3 fired Rockstar Spud. Spud turned face, but then Brodus Clay came out an laid out Spud. Clay will obviously have a new name.
*Bobby Roode won a 2 on 1 Elimination match defeating first MVP by pinfall and then Kenny King by DQ when Lashley interfered. By stipulations of the match, Roode earned a future title shot by beating both men.
Crowd was HORRIBLE on Tuesday, I'd say 250-400. Total silence at times during promos and during MATCHES! But I'm sure the attendance will pick up as the week goes on.
