I don't know if I imagined it or saw it in a video game but did any fed ever use a 20 count out of the ring?

As mentioned Japan and CHIKARA do. I wish more promotions would. It actually makes much more sense since a slow 20 count can be counted consistently and look like it is being used as a real rule while giving the wrestlers enough time to brawl outside. Comparatively the SUPER slow 10 count most promotions use are never consistent and pretty much depend on fans not paying attention to the ref at all and instead just the wrestlers while ignoring the man who is supposed to be the rule enforcer.

PWG does as well, and I'm sure most, if not all Lucha companies do.

Bill Watts had WCW use it during his booking tenure from Spring of '92 until Feb '93.

Ring of Honor still uses a 20 count - watched their TV show today, and it was utilised. Most notable in Japan... and any promotion I'd ever book.

Heck, Japan has a 10 count for top rope moves. Although I don't think anyone was ever DQ'd from that (20-counts were common place in the early days of Japanese wrestling it seems, as a means to protect the Japanese faces against the EVIL Americans).

I do remember WCW Nitro, the game with all the crazy rants, having this.

Most NES wrestling games had a 20 count.

I'm pretty sure the Global Wrestling Federation had a pretty unorthodox count-out rule in which if you were on the ring apron, you were given a ten count but if you were on the floor, you were given a twenty count.

The GameCube wrestling games had 20 counts as the default ring out count. I always thought that was weird.

I had this exact discussion with somebody a couple of months ago. It allows the ref to not sound like an idiot when it seems like he forgets what's after 4...then restarts it.
