With all this death of TNA talk happening over this past year (whenever it may happen) I started thinking about all the (major) stars that have finished or will finish their in ring careers at TNA. TNA seemed to have become the place where major stars would come at the twilight of their careers for a steady paycheck and less stressful schedule/tour pattern.
Of course people like Foley have done one or two in ring WWE appearances since finishing with TNA (like Rumble 2012) but would you say he had a successful finish to his full time wrestling career in TNA? We aren't looking at one off appearances here but the stars who did finish their last runs on full/to part time schedules in TNA?
Was it worth it from a in ring/character quality standpoint (for that individual), comparatively to the less stressful schedule that TNA had/has compared to the WWE on the performers bodies/minds/family life and the steady paycheck etc?
I guess the main stars in this topic to be discussed would be Sting, Angle, Foley, Nash among a few others that I have forgotten.

If you look at a guy like Jeff Hardy, TNA has possibly made his life worse because he has done spot after spot just to get a pop and is mostly in gimmick matches that take a toll on his body. Sure the schedule is lighter but is there more damage being done

Look at that last match he had with the Wolves and Team 3D the last spot he practically offed himself in the final moments

Angle's not much better off since he was in a wheelchair not too long ago.

That Jeff spot in the ladder tag match where he hit the ladder while it was being held up made me cringe. Such a dumb spot.

Nash wrestled in the WWE facing HHH in a Ladder match, man that still sounds like a joke too me, after his TNA run and several indies dates.

Yeah I completely agree, it doesn't sound right at all does it? Especially a Hanging Sledgehammer Ladder match

Just think, Macho Man's last wrestling match was in TNA That's truly baffling to me. No offense to TNA, but it just doesn't seem right.... That was in 2004. Looking at those names and how much has changed between now and then in the past 10 years blows my mind

Steiner's TNA run provided us with more meme worthy moments than his time in WCW and WWE combined

Looking at those names and how much has changed between now and then in the past 10 years blows my mind Wasn't that the match where Nash and Hall were dressed up like Elvis ("Kings of Wrestling", wasn't it?) and Macho only appears for the last couple minutes to grab the pin? We didn't even get to see the elbow drop one last time...sad. Man, that Savage-DDP feud in '97 really was the last of the 'old' Randy Savage. That and that pretty decent Nitro match against Kidman in '99, although that was firmly into 'jacked up midlife crisis Savage' stage.
