2014 is the year of the pushes killed by injury; Daniel Bryan, AJ, Wade Barrett, and now Reigns. How in the neck has Cena not gotten but by the curse?

Does anyone know if Cena has access to voodoo dolls? It's the only explanation.
If it's serious though, I wonder if stubborn WWE will go with Ambrose in his place in the interim. Or if the situation will end up being like CM Punk in ECW in 2007 wherein it took a million little things happening to force their hand to make the obvious choice of putting him on top.

Huh, damn. That completely wrecks his momentum and growth, then. Sucks for him, and could potentially screw up a ton of plans.

Seems like he'll return just in time for the Rumble build up.

Incoming Ambrose push before Reigns returns. Maybe, given he was already over before, Ambrose continues to be massively over and when Reigns returns, the fans will be reluctant to put Reigns back in that position. If not that, maybe Ambrose/Reigns will both reach the very top together similar to Austin/Rock. Maybe Ambrose is the Rock in this situation and by that it means he'll rise up even higher in Reigns' absence. Looks to be very interesting. On the other hand, it could be up to 12 weeks until he returns? Yikes.

So this really changes the Night of Champions match. This is why it was really stupid to have him cleanly pin Rollins on Raw. If the match ended in a DQ or if they really wanted to sell a beatdown, then Rollins could've used this as massive heel heat in the process.
I am glad that they caught it and his surgery was a success. Definitely don't wish injury on the guy, however, this might hurt him temporarily as the fans might lose interest in him now.

Actually, incoming Reigns documentary where someone backstage says that if Reigns didn't have this injury, he would have surpassed Rock, Austin and Hogan.

Seth can now claim how he took out both of his former partners. Roman will return around the buildup to the Rumble, he can win that, settle his score with Rollins at the Elimination Chamber, and still go on to main event Wrestlemania, that is if their plan

When will Vince realize that he needs to start pushing guys like Bray, Ziggler, Kofi, Cesaro, stop the stupid booking of Sandow and build him up again into a serious contender, Bo Dallas, and Swagger? These guys are relatively healthy, younger, hungrier, and would make for some fresh booking in the place of staleness right now.
By not creating new stars they're running into situations like this and being FORCED when they should've been doing it from the beginning.

Seems like he'll return just in time for the Rumble build up. If he is out until the Rumble, I don't see a prayer of him winning it. Part of their plan for that, if that's where they've been going is building up the demand for him as the top guy and his momentum while letting him improve through having long, competitive matches against people who can hopefully rub off on him. If this winds up cutting his screentime until Mania in half, there's no way he'd be remotely ready for it to the point that Mania would be a disaster waiting to happen.

If Reigns returns before the Rumble and wins it, it would be the Batista situation all over again especially if Ambrose and Bryan return before he does.

He's out 10 to 12 weeks? I would hate to be anywhere in Vince's immediate vicinity right now.

I don't really buy the 10-12 week thing. Seems like a work so when he returns in 3 or 4 weeks, it looks much better.

It seems weird that they'd know about this and let him do a full match on Raw but not the advertised one on Sunday. If he can do one, why not both?

If it is 10 - 12 weeks I would book Ambrose vs Rollins vs Reigns for Survivor Series. The triple threat needs to be done at some point
