Let's see, the top four has to be Hogan, Andre, Austin, and Rock. So, 5 would be a toss-up between Flair and Savage.

Honestly, I think it depends on what Era you look at or if you look at entire careers. A lot of legends lost their lustre later in their careers. People talk about Sting having a long period of subpar booking in TNA and wrestling longer than he physically should have. A lot of people talk about Bret's WCW run being a disappointment and tarnishing his time in WWE. Hell, look at Flair. He was a huge player for a long time but as the years passed he gradually went more and more off the rails. Plus I'd say it depends on your criteria, I know you were just making a simple list. However, if you're talking inside the world of wrestling with wrestling fans vs notoriety outside of wrestling you'll get a different list. Roddy Piper was in a bunch of films in the 80s and 90s though he wasn't as big of a name as Hogan. Austin seems to show up in a bunch of action movies. Rock made a legitimate movie career. Andre definitely had notoriety throughout the world.

Hogan, Austin, Rock, Andre are the top 4 in my view, as the most well-known wrestlers ever. Taker belongs nowhere on this thread. He's never been the top guy in any era

We all know the top 4 are Hogan, Austin, Rock, and Cena but who's #5? Thanks for that OP. Best laugh I've had all day.

Top 5 ever? If we're going strictly with WWWFE, then Bruno's got to be there, Andre's got to be there, Hogan, and I'd put Austin at number 4. Longest running champion and an iconic draw, an international main event draw all over the world (Andre), the "face of wrestling" to many, and the guy who drew the most money in (compared to the other three) very, very short period of time.
My number five? Tough call, could go Rock or Brock (both crossed over to become legitimate mainstream celebrities), could be Cena, but my number five is Piper. One of the greatest heels in history, could talk people in the building to see him get destroyed any day of the week.

Bret Hart easily, and I'd say he's #1 in general anyway

Assuming it's the 5 wonders of the wrestling world, we need criteria: most well known+you need to see this guy wrestle and WWE being there primary fed.
Hogan, Rock, Austin and Cena are obvious or are they?
Hogan & Savage were the same era so Hogan more well known than Savage.
Bret Hart & HBK are there era and Bret Has a wider publlic profile than HBK.
Rock & Austin eras were shared but Rock carried on so both get on the list.
---
Which leaves a possible Cena, Undertaker, Jericho, HHH and maybe Batista (because of GotG)
Cena/HHH are out as they are either not well known enough outside the wwe bubble. Batista is out because his in ring career is average.
Which leaves Jericho & Undertaker. I'd give the nod to Undertaker as he is well known, has good matches and has been an institution of the wwe for 23 years.
Ric Flair I associate with WCW more than WWE so didn't include him.
So my final 5 is Hogan, Bret Hart, Rock, Austin & Undertaker.

Example, Savage's WWE heights(Wrestlemania 3-7 or 8) was part of a more successful period of time than Bret or Shawn(Wrestlemania 8/10 - Attitude Era) even though Bret and Shawn were the main draws, and Savage was 2nd banana behind Hogan. In baseball terms, is Lou Gehrig not as good a player because he played with Babe Ruth or is Don Mattingly a top 5 Yankee(just using the Yankees because of the first example) because he was the best player on a down era?

The obvious 3, Savage and Taker. Savage deserves the same lip service many legends get, but he had that weird long term period where they pretended he didn't exist, and Takers sheer longevity as a WWE mainstay deserves recognition. He is the best big man of all time.

And to answer the OP, it would have to be Bruno, Vince, or Andre. Take the 4 you listed, the 3 I just mentioned, and add Savage, Taker, and Shawn, and I'd say you have WWE's top 10 of all time. I put Bret in the Top 10. Don't know who to take out, I guess Vince since he wasn't a full time wrestler. It's hard to make an argument for ranking Bret over the 10 I listed. Great wrestler, yes, but he had almost no mainstream appeal and his run on top was pretty brief and occurred during a bad time for business. Top 5's, 10's, and 20'a are always so subjective, so I tend to rank guys in tiers. TIER 1: Andre the Giant, Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Macho Man Randy Savage, Mr. McMahon, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker TIER 2: Bob Backlund, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Mick Foley, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Triple H, The Ultimate Warrior
