I ask, who in creative is clamoring for Big Show to be a focus?
I just, I don't understand pushing Big Show. Does something happen every fall that they decide it's time to see if Big Show can draw again?
Vengeance 2011, Hell in A Cell 2012, Survivor Series 2013, every fall for three years Show gets elevated into the World/WWE title picture. But, why? Hell In A Cell did better numbers than the year previous, but both other PPVs did much worse than they had the year (or Bragging Rights in the case of Vengeance's case) before. Survivor Series buyrate had been so bad, they swept Show vs Orton under the rug almost immediately.
Does Vince get nostalgic for Halloween Havoc '95?

I mean, we saw Big Show face Lesnar at the Rumble, I have no faith in Big Show going up against him, nor should he.

Lesnar retires Big Show is the only good thing from this. Why ? Because something better would require not having Big Show anymore. F*** you Big Show.

Theoretically, he is fine as a filler challenger. His size gives him some sense of permanent credibility and he's always decently over when he's face with little to no backlash from live crowds.
However, now is a time when they REALLY need to build up other people, and not just one chosen pet project because as we've just seen in the last 24 hours, they could go down suddenly. I think Big Show is best served as the gatekeeper that the title challengers beat to build up their credibility.

Seriously, its like WWE Creative are the manatees from South Park and just randomly push idea balls into the storyline generator. The Creative Team is really the most utter cesspool of everything that sucks out anything creative and good.

I think Big Show is best served as the gatekeeper that the title challengers beat to build up their credibility. Problem with Big Show is that they never seem to use him in a way that's productive in the long run. When he's a face, he's the guy that already established heels beat so they can look credible against the top faces that everyone actually cares about. OR he's the face that someone beats so they can sorta kinda "get their heat back" after losing to Cena, etc. Additionally, he takes a spot that another face could theoretically be elevated into. Since the heel is winning anyway, it wouldn't hurt to make a younger talent look strong in defeat, but instead Big Show is inserted into that spot because it supposedly makes the heel credible even though the heel is already a major threat that doesn't need to be put over any further. When he's a heel, he runs roughshod over everyone until being vanquished by a top face who doesn't need the rub. They never use Big Show to actually "make" anyone or put over anyone who needs it. Say what you will about Cena "killing momentum", but at least he actually works with younger guys regularly.

So its that time of the year again when creative feels the need to give Big show a main event push.
If another pointless Lesnar vs Big Show feud is really going to take place in a perfect world Brock would destroy him with no chairshot before the match bullshit this time.

I would be all in on a plan to job out anyone who debuted before 2005. So sick of...well almost everyone.

I think Show has been a useless waste of space taking up a valuable role since 2001. This may just push me into "taking a break from wrestling" territory

It happens pretty much every year in the Autumn/Winter window since 2009. Show is the definition of placeholder challenger:
Against 'Taker/Jericho in '09, '10 being an exception aside from the Swagger business in Summer, against Henry/Bryan in '11, against Sheamus in '12 and running into Orton through 2013's Winter slump.

Because Big Show is still a genuine behemoth and hence can be made to look like a threat to Lesnar. The only problem is we've already seen it multiple times over.
