Got to love that the pick is a conditional mid-rounder. That means that the Jets said "We might give you a 4th round pick for him, provided things work out." to which the Seahawks said, "Sure. Whatever. You'll take him? Like, right now? Perfect!"

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks had been shopping Percy Harvin for several weeks.
Multiple reports suggest Harvin's anger management issues led to his trade to the Jets.

At second glance it may not be that terrible. If he plays well for the Jets (and he was the leading receiver for the Seahawks), then they get a 2nd round pick for him. Worse case scenario, he falls off of the rails for the Jets (instead of for the Seahawks) and they only get a 4th out of him. Either way, they are off of the hook for a lot of that large contract and have room to fiddle with cap space when it comes time to resign Russell Wilson.

Apparently Seattle was going to cut him anyways.

That is one thing I like about Seattle, they aren't afraid to make what seems like a bold move.

The rumour mill is suggesting Percy Harvin slugged Golden Tate during Superbowl week as well. Sounds like the move suits all concerned, Jets get a genuine threat and Seattle frees up some much needed space for Wilson next year.

Well since I still had Knowshon, I dropped him for a what the hell pick up of Doug Baldwin, who by all accounts is gonna be the Number 1 Option in Seattle now alongside Kearse. May as well see if he can produce, he's always been a decent wideout, and his targets should increase now.

sounds like he tried to get in a fight with Wilson. Jeez, what the hell did Wilson do to him? Russell seems like the most jam up guy on that roster.

A source tells the Seattle Times that Percy Harvin got into an altercation with Golden Tate during Super Bowl week last season, resulting in a black eye for Tate.

So would it be too insensitive to call the Lions defense, "The D-Bola Defense"?
