My girlfriend was the typical "Hahaha wrestling is fake and gey har har har" person for most of our relationship, BUTRecently I started watching it in front of her, one of the first matches i watched in front of her was Brock vs Cena at summerslam and guess what made her a fan?!?!? THAT lol. After that we watched Mick Foley v Randy Orton, and Edge vs Mick Foley, as shes a fan of the exciting crazy matches. I just feel like I should thank our great overlord Barock Lesnar for turning her into a fan. Also as she was googling Brock lesnar she stumbled upon wrestlezone which was mindblowing to me

Same with my girlfriend. She never was a fan of wrestling until she went to Extreme Rules 2012. She is a fan of Orton, Punk, Wyatt Family, Cena, Paige, Bryan, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns, and others.

I'd recommend showing her Brock v Punk from last years summerslam and the original extreme rules Lesnar Cena match, I watched them both on the networks vault section earlier and was in awe of how good they were. I watched the punk one straight after Savage V Steamboat and it exposed just how badly Savage V Steamboat has aged

It's easier for girls to get into WWE these days. I've gotten a few girlfriends hooked over the years. Sadly, they usually became a very different type of fan than I am and it made it difficult to watch together sometimes.

Yeah I got a friend of mine into it years ago. What did it?
Undertaker.
I showed her the Taker/Shawn WM matches and then the Triple H matches, that did it. Taker is a mysterious figure and she was amazed at how awesome he was. Then Kane? She loved the whole thing. From then it was easier to introduce her as a whole.

The Mrs. stopped watching when Taker shaved his head. All her faves got haircuts (Jericho, Edge, monkey faced Christian) and she stopped caring.

Now I want a photoshop of Brock Lesnar parachuting onto an aircraft carrier.

My missus hates wrestling and hates that I subject her to wrestling so much. She claims to not pay any attention to anything wrestling related. We were in a charity shop recently, and I found this: She says "wow, is that Shawn Michaels??". I'm proud she is now unwittingly a wrestling nerd.

Mine is a HS English teacher and she will occasionally use wrestling promos to teach rhetoric and hyperbole.

So i've pretty much conformed her into a total wrestling geek, i showed her goldberg, the mankind and taker HIAC, pretty much most of the hardcore classics, she loves the shield, but hates Seth Rollins alone and thinks he's a jerk. Loves John Cena and Randy Orton, thinks they're sexy. *Sigh(

I've found that good seats at Houseshows can convert about anybody.
There's something about the atmosphere when the camera's are off and wrestlers are more casual that makes the show feel different. That, and you don't get bullshit segments as often as a RAW or Smackdown taping does.
Was at a show with friends and we got Charles Robinson to do a Flair Flop and WOOOO right in our faces in the front row. Friend's future wife went from laughing at wrestling fans to being one. It's almost like a lightbulb went off that it's supposed to be entertaining and an art as opposed to a legit combat sport.
She mentioned that she didn't understand how much fun the wrestlers and crew had doing their thing. It's always neat seeing somebody see their first event live.

seriously never get tired of that cena prank call - every time i see it posted i have to listen to the whole thing.
anyways - my girlfriend took me to a house show for my birthday a couple years ago - she still hates it despite my hopes that a live show would change that.
After watching pain and gain she thinks the rock is 'built as all hell' but that's about the height of it im afraid.

No one I've dated has ever been a fan, but one particularly vegan-hippie type girl I know got pretty into wrestling when she realized how similar it was to ballet, which she goes to school for. Oddly, she had this realization during a TLC match.
Also she loves Daniel Bryan, of course.
