Well, it was a bit of a step down from last week's episode (But how do you really top that third act?), but still really, really good. The idea that Jerome wasn't The Joker but rather a guy who opened the door to madness is a bit interesting. The only thing that bugs me is that they clearly were trying to benefit from the Joker/Harley dynamic with Jerome and Barbara, despite the fact that they obviously were not Joker and Harley. So when the real Joker finally comes around (if he ever does), he'll seem like a knockoff of some generic character created for the show. {Spoiler}I kind of don't expect to ever see Joker turn up, simply because the show is Gordon-centric, and it's hard to imagine Joker without Batman to play off. If it lasts long enough for Bruce to grow up and become Batman, do they keep him as a secondary character or does the Bat hijack top billing? Interestingly, the show runner hasn't ruled out the possibility of

Well, that certainly will allay my fears about them overusing Jerome.

How's season two been? I stopped following the show about halfway through season one and can't decide if I want to get caught up or not since I really found the show had more bad than good.

This could potentially be the greatest thing ever. In retrospect I actually never realized how much Robin Lord Taylor looks like Pee-Wee Herman.

The first three episodes have been pretty damn awesome, although a lot of that was due to a character that they wound up killing off at the end of the third episode, so who knows where things will go from here.

I never realized Pee Wee Herman was in Batman Returns. Now I need to rewatch it. Been like 20 years And Penguin's mother in Returns is the same actress who played Simone in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. In my head canon, after Pee-Wee and Simone watch the sun rise they fall in love, move to Gotham to escape Simone's boyfriend, change their identities and become filthy rich. The deformed Oswald is born and thus the events of the movie take place.

Oswald could just send Zsasz after the Galivans and it would all be over after 15 minutes.
I like that Gordon is questioning why Penguin is doing all this. He knows there's something else going on. Along that same line, he better start suspecting Theo soon, because nobody questioning Theo, is pushing the boundaries of suspension of disbelief.

This episode was pretty poor because of how stupid it made its characters look:
1. Alfred punched a little girl in public. If anybody caught sight of that, he'd be remanded in custody and who know what would happen to Bruce because of it?
2. The Penguin is an idiot. Why would he murder the councilwoman himself? He has a distinctive walk and appearance and it was immediately traced back to him. Why would he send Zsasz to kill the Teamster boss when everybody knows that Victor is in his employ?
These are dumb, dumb actions by stupid people.
Also, considering that there is still a dearth of LGBT characters on television, it's incredibly insulting that Barbara (and Tabitha, too) are used simply to titillate the viewer. There was some depth to the Montoya relationship last season, but here Barbara (an awful, awful character) and Tabitha are being sexualized for the sake of it. There's no other end here.

I'm still in and after being super unimpressed with it last season, I'm glad I hung in there. This season has been way more interesting.Pretty crazy ending to the last episode.
