Maybe a band or artist that's a little more under the radar but still has a solid album I can rock out to. I like almost any type of music as long as you can either rock out or have fun singing along.
I'm open to almost anything, but at this particular moment I'm looking for something with some energy. Rock, metal, pop, hip hop, etc. not in the mood for country, r&b, acoustic folk, etc. at the moment.

Blazon Stone - Return to Port Royal They're a shameless Running Wild rip-off, but it rocks like hell! Also check out their sister-band, Rocka Rollas:

I'd give Royal Blood's self titled debut album a try if I were you. Doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel but it's hard and heavy and really catchy.

Backyard Babies.
You really can't go wrong. I guess they're what's called "sleaze rock", so think like early Aerosmith, Hanoi Rocks, Guns N' Roses, that kind of band. They have some decent stuff.

Eve 6-Speak In Code is good. They were a one or two hit wonder and fell off early in the 2000s, but they are still good.

Dillinger Four - Midwestern Songs of the Americas. This is not a new album at all, but they are catchy as hell. Even Green Day ripped them off.

I'll second St. Vincent and La Roux, and also suggest The New Pornographers's and Death From Above 1979's new stuff.

I'm going to give all these bands an honest try, I've started with Asking Alexandria and I think they decent, but they aren't exactly blowing me away. I'm going to give them a few more listens to see if it grows on me. They kind of have the same vibe as Escape The Fate, who I really dig.
